Miksi Early Access?

We want to develop this into a very fun pirate adventure game. Player feedback alongside the development will be crucial in helping steer Valdis into a more fun, better game.

Current estimate we have is around 8 months to a year.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We are planning to add more exploration, story and combat content around the Valdis map as updates to the game during the Early Access.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

We have a playable, explorable world, where you can experience stories and battles. The game is well optimized and _afaik_ bug free. Still, there are large areas of the map which are not fully fleshed out in terms of their story/exploration.

Yes, the price will go higher after Early Access. During early access we plan to keep a constant price.

We love feedback. New feature requests, quality-of-life requests or bug reports are always welcome and we plan to be active in responding to these. Best place to leave feedback is the Steam forums.

Valdis is a bullet-hell-adventure game set in the fantasy world of a fallen Empire. The hero will start off as a fledgling pirate, and explore the seas of the Valdis region. Will you be the one to rise victorious and open the Legendary Vault?

Combat in Valdis is a fast paced bullet hell. You will dodge and weave projectiles and shoot off your own Davon Light Stone Cannon. The amount of hearts you will have in battles is based on your crew count, so be sure to recruit more!

Arriving in Valdis in a small pirate vessel, you will get to explore the oceans and islands of Valdis. You can obtain treasure maps, which will point to hidden treasures. You will also have access to multiple different compasses, helping you navigate the seas.

The settlements and islands are populated with NPC:s, who will tell their own stories and give you quests. The cat in question is Master Minttu.

AI has been used in image generation for the portraits of the characters. These images are then post-processed through a quantizer, which lowers the resolution and quantizes the image into only having the colors from my color palette.
