What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the gameplay system of MONONOKE is being built, including city exploration, villager interaction, and the main quest. The Early Access version does not include all of the content planned for the finished product when it is released, but it is still in a position for players to enjoy the world, battles, and story!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price as we add new content and features!
The Early Access version will be available at a special initial price of US$20. When the game is officially released, the price will increase to between US$21 and US$35.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our goal in releasing MONONOKE as an early access game is to work with our players to determine ideas and content that will become priorities for the game's development and to bring it to full release. We look forward to receiving your feedback and building our roadmap.”

"Mononoke no Kuni" is an adventure game where you explore a strange and mysterious world inhabited by Mononoke creatures, alongside a Shiba Inu puppy named "Musashi." In this world, various Mononoke are waiting to meet you.

Game Features


  • Meet and interact with unique Mononoke creatures such as the cat-like "Nekomata," the frog "Gama," the fox "Komi," and the raccoon "Mujina." Some Mononoke, under mysterious circumstances, become violent and appear as "Mamono."
  • Cooperative play for 1-2 players. Even if you're not good at action games, playing with a friend makes it less daunting!
  • Explore the world of "Mononoke no Kuni," depicted with painterly graphics. Each region offers distinct landscapes and atmospheres, creating a captivating and mysterious world.
  • Adventure with your buddy, Musashi. A god who has turned into a puppy after helping the player, Musashi seems to need to travel to a certain island. Can you and Musashi reach the island safely...?

Purifying Mamono-fied Mononoke


When Mononoke become violent, they turn into Mamono. Using the divine power granted by Musashi, the player can return them to their original form. Work together with Musashi to purify the attacking Mamonos.
