"Play With Your Cat!" is a virtual toy box for you and your beloved cat. This is
not a videogame in a conventional sense. This is a virtual toy collection that
gives you the tools for computer-mediated play with your cat buddies.

You are put in a key role in creating mutual play experiences with your animal
buddies. There is no right or wrong way to play, because it is all about
spontaneous moment-to-moment play. Just like when playing with a physical
toy.

To be honest, one could describe this game as a glorified laser pointer. And
that would be somewhat accurate. The difference is that we give you a variety
of different characters and settings to interact and experiment with. All play
tested with our developer and QA cats.

Like a laser pointer, this is a very powerful and engaging stimulus for cats of
all ages and backgrounds. Suitable for cats who shy away from direct human
contact. Or owners with limited mobility who would still like to easily play with
their beloved pets from time to time.

However, the best experiences are still created together when actually playing
with your cat yourself. The AI option is mostly there to back you up when you
are busy or you just want to put something for the cats to watch. They also like
just watching the movement on the screens.

You can easily switch between AI-PLAY and manual controlling if something
urgent comes during your play time. The show can go on regardless!

The game is built on a university study and has been designed and tested in
a feedback loop with the actual end users: cats. All of the game modes have
been playtested and validated entertainment-wise with our playtester cats.

We have strongly reduced the amount of modern human-centric design choices
that offer cats no actual value. Instead, "Play With Your Cat!" focuses on mutually
invented moment-to-moment play to maximize the engagement and fun for
both the cats and their owners.

in the demo were used in an actual university study. If your cat goes bananas with
either one of these two game modes, chances are that they will enjoy other ones
as well.
