What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“When you play Diner at the End of the Galaxy in Early Access, you aren't just giving the team crucial support - you are also helping us evolve and shape the game. This is the type of game that is ideal for Early Access: a base building and management game with sandbox features that players can play and replay with different outcomes, adopting different playstyles and experimenting. We are also at the stage of development where fine tuning, balancing and introducing new content is the priority, and this is much better done with feedback and input from you, the players. We intend to encourage a community around this game as we work towards v1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Optimistically, we'll be in Early Access for about a year. That should give us enough time to do what we envision doing with version 1.0 of the game. However, we are aware that if the community makes requests that we believe are feasible and will help the game's overall quality, we are open to extending Early Access for a few more months until we finish developing those requests and suggestions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan on introducing quality-of-life improvements (something that's only possible with community feedback), a more balanced economy and some optimisation. We also have plans for new content, including a possible new faction, new events and missions, new art assets, music and SFX -- but implementing this content will depend on development progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Compared to other Early Access versions of similar games, you may find this one to be quite advanced in development already. It is a fully playable game with different play modes and end states. All core features are available and functional. While we have fixed many of the apparent major bugs, a few undocumented bugs may still exist and will likely be encountered in some cases.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the Early Access version is priced lower than our planned full version price as a show of gratitude for the support of our players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have plans on using both the discussion boards and starting a new Discord server to keep communications with players open. We constantly read and reply to player feedback (you can see we already do this in our current discussion boards). Player feedback, input and bug reports are going to be quite crucial to our roadmap to v1.0.”

About This Game

Transform an abandoned trading outpost on a desert planet into a hub for the galaxy's mercenaries, scheming nobles, smugglers, traders, adventurers, and all manner of patrons. Everyone's welcome - as long as they've got a few Gobards to spend.

Build grand dining halls, busy kitchens, and outdoor gardens where exotic crops thrive. Design a menu that caters to the diverse preferences of your alien clientele. Optimize your interior design to navigate rush hours and hungry guests. Hire literally anyone who walks through your doors in order to staff your diner with the best cooks, gardeners, servers, and crafters in the Nusa star system.

Making customers of different factions happy rewards you with Faction Points that can not only be used to request a visit from their traders, buy special objects and build special rooms - it also allows you to request a faction to invade a region of the galaxy. Earn monthly rewards for each successful invasion you fund!

Take control over every single aspect of your influential new canteen as you build up from nothing. Unlock and master over 50 recipes with over 13 key ingredients using 3 cooking methods to experiment with as you learn what aliens like (and definitely don’t like) through trial and error.

You’ll have tons of tools at your disposal to make your own unique diner with your own uniquely weird menu.

Sure, the galaxy may or may not have been reduced to ruin and rubble by the war. Depends who’s asking. But there's plenty of riches waiting out there for those enterprising enough to look for them. Assemble a crew, send out expeditions to distant worlds to get rare crops, and make your diner truly special as you exert your influence on the solar system.
