About This Content

Step into a new chapter with "Mothers and Daughters - Thomas Family."

In the base game, Max lives next door to the Thomas family. In this DLC, his home is much further away, and to save him a commute or a cramped dorm, he's been offered something a little more personal. Thanks to a thoughtful arrangement between his mom and her longtime friend Mrs. Thomas, Max gets to live with Maria, Karla, and Caprice in their comfortable suburban home.

Caprice and Max have a past. They were inseparable once, even dated for a while, but things fell apart after one impulsive mistake she still hasn’t fully owned. When the chance came for Max to move in, she saw it as a way to reconnect, or at least to have him close again.

Maria has her own opinions, but she agreed to take Max in and offered him the attic bedroom. He isn’t sharing a room with her daughter, and that part was made perfectly clear.

At first, Caprice seems glad to have him around. But as college begins and her world starts to open up, she begins to question what she really wants. Max is free to do as he pleases, and so is she. That freedom brings a different kind of tension, quiet but hard to ignore.

For Max, it’s a big shift. He’s gone from a quiet home with just his mom to living in the middle of a family of four. There’s Caprice’s protective older sister Karla, who keeps a close eye on him. Their mostly absent father, William. And Maria, who holds the household running with quiet precision.

This DLC offers a more grounded and intimate variation on Max’s story. Rather than living at home, he now finds himself under the roof of the Thomas family, a temporary arrangement that turns out to be anything but simple.

From the outside, the Thomases seem like a perfectly normal family. Living with them tells a different story. Caprice seems glad to have him around, though what she wants from him now isn't always clear. Karla, her older sister, keeps a close eye on things. She says little, but her presence is sharp. Whether she’s defending Caprice or just doesn’t trust the situation, it’s hard to tell.

And then there’s Maria. Graceful, composed, and effortlessly in control of the household, she welcomes Max without hesitation. The warmth between Maria and William has long since faded and Max is not used to her kind of attention. She’s generous with her time, quick to smile, and often nearby when he least expects it. With her husband rarely home, Max begins to sense a kind of curiosity from her, subtle and quietly mutual.

It’s a very different atmosphere from the life Max knew. The routines are unfamiliar. The energy is unpredictable. And the lines between comfort, connection, and something more are beginning to blur.

In the original story, Max lived at home with his mother. It was quiet, private, and easy to separate his personal life from everything else. He could bring girls home without anyone taking notice. No questions, no complications.

Now he’s living with the Thomas family. The same freedom exists, technically, but it feels different. The house is shared. The walls are thinner. And the people around him notice more than they say.

Pursuing someone like Caprice again is no longer a quiet decision. Bringing someone else home doesn’t just happen in the background. Karla might be in the next room. Caprice might see. Even when nothing is said, everything feels seen.

This DLC doesn’t change Max’s options. It changes what those options mean. The main story remains the same, but rather than the quiet, innocent scenes with his mom, he now has more opportunities with Maria, Karla, and Caprice.
