An asteroid struck Earth and wiped out all life. From the wreckage, alien bacteria emerged, multiplying rapidly and absorbing the leftover DNA of humans and animals. Over time, these bacteria evolved into a new intelligent species and built a peaceful colony of their own.

Many years later, Earth has finally become habitable for humans again. At last, four human survivors who escaped the asteroid are ready to return home.
