What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We're at a stage in development where the game requires feedback from players for the sake of balancing, quality-of-life improvements, and gameplay experience. And we are still working on content, the quality of which also depends on the current state of the game and feedback from the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're planning to release the FULL game in about 5 months, but this is not the whole game, we believe. It's possible that development will take longer, since we've already added a lot of things that we didn't intend to add, but that needed to be added.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to add more regions to explore, more goods to buy and sell, some mercenaries to buy in old and future regions, and we need to finish the story part.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“-The first chapter of the story is completed.
-Three map regions to play, we call them shiny, snowy and spooky.
-Over 50 mercenaries to buy: peasants, hogs, redzerkers and other bears.
-Over 80 buyable stuff (~20 of them are goods with affixes, this is important);”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're planning on having some discounts from time to time, but the price should stay the same during and after the Early Access, depend on content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We've already added a few mechanics suggested by the community. Players are also already used and can use Steam's community tab / YouTube / e-mail to give us feedbacks.”

About This Game

TRADESMAN: Deal to Dealer is a game about a merchant who rides around in his horse-drawn (or bear-drawn) cart. Starting his journey in his home village of Grampstead, the Tradesman heads off to the other towns and villages of the world. Stock up on marine morsels in Fishpool, quench your thirst at Grubgrog Village's renowned tavern, sell basic necessities in Hoboken, and trample the dirt in Normingham, the capital of these lands!

Features

  • Trade: buy up stock in one place and sell it out wherever your goods are needed most to earn money and gain trading experience.
  • Automatic battles with active skills: the roads are perilous, and the more goods you have in your cart, the more dangerous they become.
  • Your wares aren't just a basket with a price tag - each product has a range of traits that complicate transportation.
  • Many unique types of mercenaries, each of which you can take a shine to, but not enough to think twice about swapping them out for a better mercenary.
  • Consumables: study the culinary arts to cook meals and feed your mercenaries. Use power-up scrolls and books to lecture your mercenaries.
  • Buildable talents: talents for combat, trade, social interactions, and survival.
  • Transport quests: work as a taxi driver and drop off drunks, children, and wounded guards.
  • Classic quests: head to marked points on the map and fulfill various characters' requests.
  • Soulslike quests: go god-knows-where and do god-knows-what.
  • Plot quests: plot quests!
