Why Early Access?

“This game is a faithful remake of a game I made in 2018, also called BaulaQuest. Since then, I've vastly improved my skills as a video game designer, programmer, artist, etc., and thus want to add onto this remake all the crazy, awesome stuff I wanted to create in 2018 but couldn't because I sucked at making games. Until all the new content is complete though, I wish to ship the game early so that others may enjoy my work in the meantime!

Besides that, I am also a solo developer, and so seeing what the community thinks of my dinky little game will be invaluable to making this game the best that it can possibly be...”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“However long it takes to complete the full game. I estimate it might take me around 2 years to complete, but it could very easily take longer (and probably will).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

  • More levels (= more enemies, bosses, music, characters, etc.)
  • More mechanics
  • More cutscenes / animations
  • More cat people
  • More cats in general
  • Even more DANK lore and story

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Version 0.1.0.0 will be the complete remake of the 2018 version of BaulaQuest, featuring four levels, numerous enemies, several musical tracks, three cutscenes, two bosses and the first ending.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“With each new major update to the game, the price will increase. Buy early, save money.”

“On top of listening to feedback, I'd love to involve the community however I can!”
