Miksi Early Access?

To get player input about the game. This will help me make the full game better.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Up to two years. Likely, less than a year.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The full version will have three playable heroes, 7 levels, 30 enemies, all interaction systems will be finished, all upgrade systems will be finished.

Things still to be implemented:

❌ 25 enemies.

❌ Card and upgrade systems.

❌ 2 Boss fights.

❌ Choice system.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is currently in pre-alpha, probably about 25% finished.

Things implemented:

✅ One of three heroes.

✅ 5 of around 30 enemies.

✅ Basic level designs.

✅ Stat system and basic mechanics.

✅ Start screens and intro screens.

✅ The basic story.

✅ Part of game UI.

✅ All of the initial ability cards for the heroes.

The early access price will probably be around 10% less than the full launch price.

I will take community input to heart and try to implement as many common or exceptional recommendations as possible. Of course I will have the final say of how the game develops but I want to ensure that the experience of playing is as fun and satisfying to as many people as possible.

The flickering torchlight is all that separates you from total, devouring darkness...

You are an artifact hunter, a seeker and purveyor of rare, magical relics. Your profession takes you into some of the darkest and most dangerous recesses of existence. The ultimate goal of your search is the fabled Deck of Darkness, an incredibly potent arcane artifact said to grant it's bearer immortality... for a price. Your quest has brought you to a series of long-forgotten underground tunnels. You feel your pulse quicken and your hope darken as you enter the portal to The Infernal Depths.

Deck of Darkness: Infernal Depths is a first person, fantasy horror, hack and slash, action role-playing game (ARPG) with crunchy pixel art graphics. Being a roguelite dungeon crawler, every playthrough will be different. You will start as the Templar warrior and eventually be able to unlock the Occultist and the Hunter. With each level you complete, you will get your choice of a powerful ability card from the Deck of Darkness. You can equip up to four of these which modify your attacks and abilities. Each of the seven levels has it's own objectives and enemies. Make it to the lowest level of the dungeon and face your terrifying destiny.

Deck of Darkness is based on the upcoming tabletop card game of the same name.
