Miksi Early Access?

We are a community-driven studio and enjoy collaborating with players to make sure we are delivering the best play experience in our game (the Dead Gods have very high expectations of us… please help). While the core design of Whispers of the Eyeless is complete, there is always room for iteration and improvement. We believe the Early Access journey will be well worth taking, and look forward to having you along for the ride!

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

The Dead Gods advised us that our development cycle is expected to be 12 months… but they’ve been wrong before (don’t tell them we said that). All of our core systems are in place, so our development plans are primarily adding content and polish, though we are open to the idea of expanding on certain designs based on player feedback.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

Our Early Access release and updates will focus primarily on the Fate’s Mirror game mode, while the majority of our Story Campaign will be kept secret (we don’t want the Living Gods to destroy our studio… not until the game is finished).
Think of Fate’s Mirror like the skirmish mode you would find in a traditional RTS or strategy title; you can experience all the mechanics of Whispers of the Eyeless, and when the game fully releases, you will have a nice, wholesome, definitely-not-nightmarish Story Campaign to enjoy!

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Under development! We have a nice demo for you to try for free, while our launch to Early Access is expected in a few months. Stay tuned for updates!

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We have no plans to change the price once we fully release the game… but the Dead Gods will favor those who played Early Access.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

"Regular sacrifices will be offered to the Dead Gods." Regular updates will be posted in our Discord server, which is a super safe place with a very low amount of human sacrifice! There will be channels for suggestions, ideas, bug reports, and player feedback.
Sometimes the Dead Gods make us post developer videos with progress reports and teasers for upcoming updates… but don’t worry, we actually enjoy making these videos, and usually survive them!

LISTEN, OBEY, ASCEND

Assume the role of the last descendent of the Old Faith and First Prophet of the New Age in the city of Aranthor where new and old gods vie for power.

Defeated, exiled and nearly forgotten, the Dead Gods have been silent for generations. But finally… the Whispers have returned. The ‘Dead’ Gods were not dead, and it is up to you to reinstate them to their full glory.

Guide your Cult. Oversee your Sanctum. Stay in the Shadows. Serve the Dead Gods.

INFILTRATE THE CITY


Travel through a branching web of events within each district of the city of Aranthor to gather resources and gain experience. Battle each district’s unique enemies in tactical turn-based combat. Encounter unique events and mechanics tied to each district’s denizens, culture and history.

GROW YOUR CULT


To restore the Dead Gods to power, you will need faithful followers. Your cult, hidden beneath the city, must remain undetected. The forces of the new Living Gods are strong, and you will be no match for them if discovered. As you grow, cultists can be ordained as Disciples, and sent on Callings.

BUILD YOUR BASE


Gather resources and leverage your cultists to develop your Sanctum. Upgrade your base, enact divine Benedictions, and make Sacrifices to the Dead Gods to strengthen the cult and increase your power in the city as Prophet. The God you favor will impact your Sanctum’s appearance, which can be customized to your liking.

INFLUENCE FATE


As the First Prophet, your decisions and actions will determine how and when each of the Dead Gods: Wrath, Desire, and Madness; will grow in power. You may favor one over the others, or strike a more balanced approach; the choice is yours to make.
