What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The reason we want to use Early Access is because we've already made this complete game, but want to refine it further with community feedback and suggestions to make the best possible product. The difficult nature of the game makes balancing a very tricky act, we might find the game to be managable in difficulty, but our audience might just find it frustrating. That's one important reason to have community feedback before release. So primarily, we want to gather feedback/suggestions to help with gameplay balance, game length, different game modes we can add, as well as more enemies/bosses/features. Bearing in mind the game is already a complete package that includes all these things and different game modes, so we have a strong start.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until Q2 2025”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“It will potentially contain more worlds, levels, items as well as more refined/balanced gameplay. We will also explore if local coop is a possibility.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It is a complete game, with 5 worlds, bosses, items, an extensive enemy roster, a challenge/leaderboard mode. It was practically ready to be released as a game, but we decided that we can continue to evolve it into something more.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to not increase the price while we are in Early Access. But instead increase the price after we get out of Early Access and based on the amount of content we added during Early Access we will increase the price to represent the value of the added content during that period but not by a margin bigger than 50%.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are already running a Discord with people that wishlisted the game and will have bug ticket channels and the dialog with them on our discord. We'll also be accepting suggestions on gameplay difficulty/balancing, because the game is designed to be difficult due to its "old school" nature. Suggestions for new features/enemies/items would also be very welcome.”

About This Game

Step into the shoes of a new employee at the “pest control” megacorp known as Invader-Be-Gone, Inc. in the arena-based, action experience, Bashtronaut.
Employee ED-870 is a Junior Eradicator, and he is attempting something that to his knowledge hasn’t been achieved in ten years at the company: get promoted. It’s not that the opportunities aren’t available for employees in the Eradicators Division, it’s just that every single one has died on the job or quit.

IBG’s green initiative, “Oh no, Ozone!” explicitly restricts any use of Rayguns, Phaser Phlashes, Blaster Rifles, Beam Bangs, and all other contaminant-generating weaponry. Eradicators uphold this vital company value by utilizing low-tech, blunted weaponry when dispatched into the field for a Removal.

A recent internal study found a 95% employee death rate in the Eradicators Division. It’s just a number though. And, it could be worse. The Proofers Division has a 98% rate. What these rates really represent is opportunity.Square up against increasingly hostile invading forces in unique combat encounters all while completing multiple client contracts. Exceptional performances in the field are rewarded with a bonus in company credits which can be used to purchase company-approved upgrades that are sure to make you a more competent Eradicator.

There’s much a new Eradicator must learn, but luckily, you have been taken under the wing of a company legend. Heeding the advice of your mentor, Senior Eradicator ED-575, will be your quickest path to success.

An employee Performance Appraisal follows the fulfillment of any client contract. Management wants all of its employees to succeed and will incentivize exceptional performance. Remember, Management cares, which is why words of inspiration from Management are sent directly to Eradicators when they consume company-approved performance-enhancing products in the field.
