What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fallen Angel: Hell Survival needs to be in early access because although it is already a very playable and enjoyable game, it is not 100% finished. An audience is required to get feedback to help make this become one of the greatest and unique survival games ever created.

FAHS has been in development by one man, unfunded in his spare time. Whether that one man grows into Team of more members or not, the continuation of development until it is finished will happen. However turning that one man into a team requires yours, the customers help. If FAHS makes lots of sales, it will help that one man to become a team and get it finished sooner rather than later. But if not many sales are made, then the continuation of FAHS will be very slow. So please support this game by making a purchase and spread the word.

Thanks.

Strongfinger”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Fallen Angel: Hell Survival will take approximately 3 years to complete if receives the support from the customer base and it makes enough sales for most of the remaining work to be outsourced. Otherwise I predict it will take approximately 7 years if there are barely any sales and possibly longer if a living cannot be made.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version should have a lot more content and be completable with an end game.
Lots of assets and features will be added, such as: More resources to mine for building and crafting more items, More loots like Potions, More lootable furniture for in the Fortresses, Magicka Wells and Cauldrons to find for restoring Magicka, Deadly Plants, A Grim Reaper Mob with bones that provides a source of materials for epic weapons, armour and tools, Loots and Statues that provide a source of Crystals that can be used for enchantment and crafting components for an escape portal, Randomly spawning Sacrificial Circles with an Altar for enchanting equipment, a Giant Cyclops who’s eye you need to get to the end boss, a craftable stone golem guard, A floating Pyramid in the sky that the player will need to get up to and enter to defeat the Baphomet End boss and get the final crafting ingredient to build the escape portal and an end scene on Earth. And possibly more.

That's just the content to be completed before it comes out of Early Access. From then on I hope to keep adding more content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Its very playable, stable and fun. Its maybe more than half way complete. It allows you to explore a procedurally generated hell that generates and occasionally changes as you move around and dry up areas of resources. You can pick up resources, craft tools, use tools to mine more resources, craft many different items from weapons, armour, tools, moulds for smelting, building blocks for buildings, so you can actually build buildings any way that you want to. You can smelt metals to forge and craft better weapons, armour and tools and metal blocks and Anvils. You can craft and place furniture and utility objects including for inventory storage and crafting and smelting. You can hunt beasts for pelts, meat and hearts. You can drink blood for Magicka(mana) and eat to stay alive. You can cook meat for a more hunger filling meal. You can grow and eat Plasma fruit. You can cast several different spells useful in combat, good for such things as attacking, stealth and healing. You can fight mobs and they drop loot you can pick up or harvest their corpses. You can tame hellhounds to fight alongside you. You can find enemy ruins and fortresses, explore them, encounter combat, find loot and even mine them down for more resources. And at night you get hunted by Tormented Souls that are nearly impossible to kill.

There’s a lot there to play with in a sandbox world. Hours of gameplay. And you can set the world seed to generate differently shaped terrain and the world itself is twice the size of something like Skyrim before you begin to die if you head too far away from the center.

Fallen Angel: Hell Survival should appeal to those who enjoy such games as Minecraft, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 4.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It will start cheap, but I plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Hopefully they will be able to make use of the Steam Community or my external TapaTalk forum to provide bug reports and feedback to help the game develop into something really amazing. I will be open to constructive criticism and ideas, but will only add and change parts of the game at my own discretion and only what I am capable. Positive Feedback is of course most important, because then I know whether or not I’m on the right track to making a game that others enjoy as much as I do.

My external forum is here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/fallenangelhellsurvivalforum/index.php”
