„In the current state of the early access version of Nightmare Labyrinth there are two local PVP maps to play on with distinct gameplay and setting. In the asylum level the VR player can turn on and off their light, which makes them invisible to the monster when it's off. The VR player also can use the radar in their left hand to ping the exit, which will reveal their location to the monster. The desktop player, the monster, can move around the map using keyboard or gamepad and when they catch the VR player by running into them, it will jumpscare the VR player and return them to the main menu. The desktop player can also bring up a quick access menu by pressing escape or the menu button on gamepad, which will allow them to return to the main menu manually. The game can also be returned to the main menu by the VR player reaching the exit. In the forest maze level the desktop player works mostly the same, except they can be staggered and partially blinded when shot by the VR player. The VR player has a pistol and a radar on their belt, and the radar works the same as in the asylum. The pistol must be reloaded by inserting a magazine into the magwell and racking the slide to load a round. It can then be fired when held and the trigger is pressed, and when it is fired the desktop player should be able to see the VR player through walls for a split second. The exit and jumpscare mechanics work the same.”
