Miksi Early Access?

Chains of the Goddess is a project developed by a very small team. Although we have tested and debugged the game to the best of our ability, some issues remain, and are still in the process of being debugged or otherwise improved. We believe that with the help of a player community, we can solve these issues more efficiently, and update the game with lots of great content.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We estimate roughly 3 months in Early Access. This may be subject to change.

Full version is expected to feature:

-UI improvements.
-Balance improvements for Depth 6 and up.
-Additional labyrinth locations and music tracks.
-More character models and animations.
-Brand-new item properties which substantially broaden the character-building experience.
-Dozens of brand-new events, helping to ensure that no two runs are alike.
-Internal Leaderboard — see which of your characters performed best!
-A Hardcore mode: create a fresh, non-upgradable character, built from a variety of offered perks and items, and take on a brutal challenge!

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Chains of the Goddess in its current Early Access form features:

-Pseudo-randomly generated characters, items, and monsters!
-Pages of intriguing, self-aware dialogue. Are you a hero wondering through the labyrinth, or simply a Player who took on a role? Perhaps some of the characters you encounter will learn to tell the difference.
-A Depth system: subsequent runs will be dramatically different from the last one. Not only will they be more challenging, but the characters you encounter may respond to you very differently…
-Hundreds of unlockable upgrades through the Tree of Life and Hyperbuffs systems, which allow your character to start a run with a better selection of Boons, increased stats, damage resistances, revives, and more!
-An Event system which could change the fate of your character dramatically.
-4 labyrinth locations with their own sound tracks.
-Battles against the powerful(?) Guardians, and if you wish, the Goddess herself.
-A secret Archive, which reveals [REDACTED], if you are powerful enough to unlock it.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We do not plan to raise price after leaving early access, although the game will be on sale for some period of time after release.

We want as much feedback as possible! Please help us find any bugs or issues with the game. Tell us what you love, what you hate, and what you'd love to see. Although we are a small team, we will act on your feedback swiftly!

For centuries, the residents of your quiet little village have sent their strongest into the Labyrinth, where a powerful Goddess is bound. It is said that those who reach her can persuade her to bless the village… But the Labyrinth is a treacherous place, full of illusions, lies, and insane spirits. Today, it is your turn to descend into the Labyrinth. The thought fills you with eager anticipation, for you know that you are different from every other would-be hero that has attempted this journey.

To you, this is all a game.

Generate a random hero, then descend into a labyrinth full of monsters. Your hero will attack on their own — your job is to figure out which powerful items to loot, which upgrades to purchase, and which dialogue options to pick. If you are persistent in your efforts, you will reach the Goddess, time and time again. However, each time you interact with the Goddess, the whole world will change, little by little.

Perhaps you will change, too?

This game is intended to play over and over again. Each successful run will advance the story and increase difficulty.
The presence of a player in a game is a hostile and disruptive force, and will be dealt with accordingly. Tread carefully. We warned you.
