About This Game

Geometry TD is a tower defense game on a starship that you build and fly yourself. You explore open space, mine asteroids, trade, and lead a crew of astronauts. When pirates board your ship, you defend it with geometric towers that you merge into stronger shapes.

Fly and explore

  • Fly freely through open space. Sectors connect without loading screens, and space has no outer edge.

  • Find asteroid fields, wrecks, trade stations and pirate patrols.

  • The sector chart is hidden at first and fills in as you fly.

  • The farther you travel, the richer and more dangerous the sectors become.

Build your ship

  • Add rooms to your ship: reactors, engines, turrets, shields, crew quarters, cargo holds, a mining bay and more.

  • Reactors supply power. Most rooms need power to work.

  • Engines push the ship in the direction they face, so their placement decides how it accelerates, brakes and turns.

  • Turrets and shields only cover the direction they face.

  • Rooms take damage in combat and stop working until the crew repairs them.

Lead your crew

  • Hire astronauts. Each one needs a bunk, so more crew quarters allow a bigger crew.

  • The crew builds towers, mines, carries cargo, repairs rooms, and operates the helm and the turrets.

  • Give astronauts roles, drag them onto a job, or let them choose their own work.

  • Outside the ship, astronauts use suit oxygen. Bring them back before it runs out.

Mine, salvage and trade

  • Mine asteroids for raw ore. Your ship refines it into alloy, crystal and plasma.

  • Cut up wrecked ships for more materials.

  • Use materials to build new rooms.

  • Sell cargo and buy materials at Guild stations and Guild ships.

Fight in space

  • Pirate ships patrol the sectors and attack ships that come close.

  • Your turrets fire only while a crew member operates them.

  • Enemy ships are made of rooms too. Destroy their turrets, engines and reactors.

  • A beaten ship tries to escape. Chase it and destroy it to salvage the wreck.

  • Each sector has a pirate flagship. Defeat it to take control of the sector.

Defend your ship

  • When pirates board your ship, they attack in waves and march toward your airlock.

  • Each enemy carries a number that shows its health.

  • Towers are geometric shapes, and every corner is a gun.

  • Merge two towers of the same element and shape into the next shape: Dot, Line, Triangle, Square, and on to Octagon and beyond. Each merge triples the damage.

  • Defeated enemies drop shards. Your crew collects them, and you spend them on towers, new elements and crew.

Elements, waves and bonuses

  • Seven elements: Fire, Poison, Ice, Electric, Air, Water and Mud. Each has its own effect and is strong or weak against certain enemies.

  • Place towers of the same element in a line or polygon to earn a damage bonus.

  • Waves come in different types: Rush, Swarm, Armored, Blitz and boss waves.

  • Every five waves you choose a boon that lasts for the rest of the game.

  • Cargo holds store towers between fights. Stored towers can be placed again for free.

Other features

  • The game saves automatically, and you can also save manually.

  • A step-by-step tutorial with English voice-over teaches flying, building and defending.

  • The battle simulation runs on your graphics card, so thousands of shots can be on screen at once.
