Why Early Access?

“Although Recordance is currently a completely playable stand alone game, many more features are currently in development for the final release and beyond. These features include new levels, weapons, vehicles, enemies and game modes (please see the sections below for more details). As a lone developer I have also had limited resources for testing the game over a wide variety of systems as well as different players play styles so will be working with feedback from users to improve the games performance and stability as well as take on board feedback on how well individual features work.
This game has been a labor of love for me over the last few years so I am extremely excited to release this early access version to the community and see it through to the final release and beyond.”

“1-2 years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version of Recordance contains 14 missions and challenges, a small set of playable vehicles , 12 weapon modules and 3 levels. It also has limited customisation options for both player droid and vehicles.
My goal for the final release is to increase the number of game modes and levels available as well as offer more weapon modules and customisation options for both droids and vehicles. Currently 2 additional game modes are being developed as well as one additional level and multiple extra customisation options many of which are already well in to development. These include full customisation options for bikes, additional body styles for cars and bikes and body parts for droids.
I would also aim to add improvements in performance and stability to the final release as well as possibly graphical improvements to certain aspects of the game.
Beyond the final release of the game it would be a dream to expand the game even further including even more game modes, levels, weapons and even multiplayer, depending of course on the games popularity and wishes of the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Recordance is currently a completely playable game consisting of one game mode, multiple weapons, vehicles and enemies. Please refer to the 'About this' section for more details on the features currently available.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I aim to increase the price of the game marginally as new content and features are added. However those who purchase the game in early access will get all new content as it is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a solo developer I am thrilled with the idea of having some creative feedback and suggestions from the community. It would be a dream of mine to build a community around the game and develop and improve Recordance with your help.

I am very open to the idea of taking your feedback and developing future features for the game based on it. Ideas for future weapon modules, enemies, levels and vehicles would definitely be appreciated!
