What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“To get feedback from players on what should be done to improve the game and to get suggestions on the direction of the game for upcoming new content, such as episodes and levels and new features.

As the developer, I want to open up discussion with players in different ways to ensure this becomes a game they enjoy.

Also, early access will give players eager to try the game a chance to play it sooner and to shape the future of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will be in early access approximately 6-8 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release version, I plan on having a total of 18 levels, spanning across 3 episodes. I also plan for it to have more improvements, bug fixes, and polish. Also, I plan for story elements and the comic book scenes that tell the story to be more properly realized in the full release. However, all of these additions and improvements are subject to change as the game develops over the next few months.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the early access version has 1 prologue level, and all of episode 1 which contains 5 levels. So in total, Early Access has 6 levels. Some elements of the game are subject to minor change as the game develops.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game will be a slightly lower cost during the early access period. After that, for full release, the price will increase slightly.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“By engaging with the community via twitter and Discord, and Steam forums, I hope to get much needed feedback and make adjustments to the game accordingly.”

About This Game

THE STORY:

Decades after the Great War on Earth, a new world was built on Mars. It was mostly a time of peace, although a cold war was brewing between the Republic of Mars in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Mars Commonwealth in the Southern Hemisphere. Settlers, known as the Mons Gens, had built several colonies around the equator of Mars, forming their own nation-states which had no allegiance to The Republic nor The Commonwealth. Within the past few decades, the largest Mons Gens colony known as Arsia Mons, was abandoned. The Colony’s massive domed cities, built by Atlas Dynamics, would lie uninhabited in the crater for years.

When the Mars Commonwealth spaceport at Pickering was nearly completely destroyed by an old, obsolete Atlas Dynamics construction drone carrying an explosive device, many assumed the Republic of Mars were responsible. But then, long range telemetry picked up dozens of signatures, similar to those of the Atlas Dynamics construction drone, deep below the supposedly abandoned colony at Arsia Mons.

As a Mars Commonwealth Special Forces soldier, your task is to insert into the abandoned Arsia Mons colony, and investigate deep below the surface to find the origin of the signatures and their relation to the bombing of Pickering Spaceport. Bring back any intel you find.
