Leaving Early Access: Dec 31, 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“There are three main reasons why we chose Early Access:

• This is our first video game, and we truly want to create something fun. Having the community involved helps us achieve that goal.
• We are an independent studio, so player support directly helps us improve the game’s quality.
• Game development takes time, and we want players to try the game early and help us avoid moving in the wrong direction.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At first, we thought that 3–6 months would be enough to achieve the game's quality.
However, we came up with many ideas to improve the game—and what better time to implement them than during Early Access?

Therefore, we extended this period from 12 to 18 months.
We are really excited about the game's potential and want to make the most of it!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will provide a more polished and cohesive experience, with improvements to gameplay, HUD, UI, visual effects, and sound design.

The Early Access version still includes features that need to be implemented, as well as systems and content that require further refinement to reach the desired level of quality.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“After several months in Early Access, we are actively working on improving the game’s core loop.

There is still a significant amount of work ahead, but we are very happy with the progress so far and excited about what we are building.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, because our idea is to be able to finish the project the way we dreamed it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to stay close to our players through the Steam Community.
Feedback from these channels will help us shape the balance, content, and overall direction of the game.
We've created a shared Excel spreadsheet where players can see what we're working on in real time, leave comments, and share their own ideas.
We take our players' feedback very seriously!”

About This Game

LIGHTHOUSE OF THE SOULS is a third-person action roguelite with hack and slash and RPG mechanics, set in a dark supernatural fantasy world.

The game features realistic visuals, a strong atmospheric tone, and a soulslike-inspired experience.

Face ever-changing challenges alone or in online co-op with up to 4 players.

A dark fantasy island hides a ruined bridge between the world of the living and the underworld.
The remains of an ancient civilization lie scattered across the land—one that once worshiped dark guardians and performed rituals to guide lost souls.

A corrupted Cardinal, driven by grief and obsession, has reopened the gates between realms, unleashing the corruption that now consumes the island.
Six heroes, each with unique origins and combat styles, are drawn to this place to purge its corruption and uncover the truth.

The narrative is environmental and atmospheric, revealed through exploration, enemy design, and fragments of lore scattered throughout the world.
Emotional connection emerges from surviving the island’s moral decay and confronting the tragedy behind the fall of the antagonist.

Choose from six playable heroes, each with their own background, combat style, and abilities.

Every character offers a distinct approach to danger, encouraging experimentation and replayability.

• Samurai • Swiss Guard • Exorcist • Lakota Warrior • Gaucho • Shaolin Monk •

LOTS features four progressive difficulty modes that transform enemy behavior, atmosphere, and the overall sense of danger:

  • Casual: Designed for first-time players, with minimal pressure.

  • Normal: The world begins to fight back, and a wandering spirit follows your progress.

  • Hard: Corruption intensifies, and the Cardinal actively hunts you.

  • Extreme: The ultimate trial, with more enemies, active disadvantages, and critical decisions at every step.

Higher difficulties increase enemy variety, rewards, and achievement unlocks.

  • Online co-op roguelite for up to 4 players.

  • Procedural maps and dynamic missions that reshape the world every run.

  • Unique story-driven missions with minibosses.

  • Permanent death.

Every run feels different and demands constant adaptation.

During each run, you collect souls, gold, and cards that modify your stats with both benefits and penalties.

Between runs, you can unlock permanent upgrades, new heroes, and long-term progression that strengthens future attempts.

Combat is fast, direct, and demanding:

  • Real-time hack and slash combat with an emphasis on reflexes and positioning.

  • Upgradeable weapons with multiple tiers, unlocking increased damage and special effects.

  • Evolving abilities that allow you to adapt your playstyle every run.

LIGHTHOUSE OF THE SOULS is an evolving experience in active development.
Player feedback is essential to improve balance, expand content, and refine the final experience.

Join us, explore the island, and help shape the world we want to build 🕯️
