Why Early Access?

“My Best Friend Kouta is a game designed to be released in episodes, and we're already on the third one! At the current stage, we have a storyline that has unfolded significantly, there are various features throughout the city, and more is coming according to the plans. With the game in Early Access, during the remaining development journey, I will have the opportunity to gather suggestions and feedback, as well as start building a community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At the latest, by mid-2024.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There is a schedule for each MBFK episode to be released. Each of them, in addition to advancing the main storyline, will bring new secondary objectives, access to new parts of the city and more. Here are some examples:

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the current episode of MBFK you can already know the introduction of the three main characters. The highlight goes to Evie, the protagonist's girlfriend, who begins to suffer a "slow burn" in her principles.

In addition, you can now start your game collection or help Kouta start his manga collection, work, participate in the chess competition, receive messages, make calls to Evie, access a forum of dubious people and much more!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“MBFK will be offered at a lower price for now.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will be engaging the community through our Discord server and/or through the Steam community itself. That's where I intend to receive suggestions and criticism. And I will also be posting transparent updates on the game's development.”
