Wozu Early Access?

„I have been working on this game in my spare time for several years, and the base gameplay mechanics became functional/playable a few months ago. It's already fun to play, so I want to start sharing it. But I need more time, and feedback to develop more content for the game (i.e Enemy types, Block Types, weapons and power ups, additional modes of play, characters and achievements. I would still say it's about halfway into alpha as of this writing. It isn't bug free, But its fun to play so i want to share it as I work on it.

Honestly It's already got alot of replay value with the first 3 modes I have made, but I really want to do an adventure mode with these mechanics, but it will take me 2-4 more years to make it I think.“

„1-3 years on my own. If I end up cutting "Adventure Mode" it will probably be done in a year. but I'm not planning on cutting adventure mode or rushing the process. I will develop it as long as it takes.“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The Full Version is planned to Support Local Multiplayer, HighScore Online Leaderboards, A few dozen achievments, and 6 or 7 basic playmodes, and more than triple the content it currently has (in terms of Stages, Enemies, Blocks, Weapons, Characters.) If I can get online multiplayer to feel good I will do it as well, but it is not a priority.

My Long term goal is a full "Adventure Mode" That tells the story of the game, with levels to progress and a simple overworld map. However this is alot of work and basically a second game. If it takes too long I may release without the adventure mode and save it as an Expansion or a Sequel. But i have it planned out and I am going to do adventure mode for puzzle panic island one way or another.“

„The Alpha Currently Features 3 Basic Modes of play and 9 difficulty levels which can appeal to both the casual and the hardcore Puzzlers.

Endless Mode- A balanced experience where you last as long as you can at your own pace. (The Default Game Mode)
Marathon Mode - How long does it take you to clear 30 blocks? How about 300?
Time Trial Mode - How many points can you score in the time limit?

The Alpha is currently lacking several basic features such as:
-Custom Controls
-Game Options
-Pre-made Puzzle Mode
-Achievments
-Multiplayer

These things are in the works, just not ready for the public.“

Wird dieses Spiel während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„Early Access Price will be cheaper. If I finish the Adventure Mode in a reasonable time, I will increase the price as it is basically a second game planned on top of this one. If I cancel Adventure mode, I'll polish and perfect every other mode and push out several updates and will not increase the price.“

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„I want my game to run well and to be fun. If people are having problems I want to know so i can make the game the best it can be. and I can't do that without a healthy amount of community feedback.
