A young man named Marcel goes to the mall with his older brother late one afternoon. While wandering around, he quickly finds himself in a bizarre version of the place he was just in. An odd entity in a dark hotel room fills him in on his situation, and it's not looking good -- Marcel has transported himself to an alternate reality, and he's got a long journey back home.

In Lobby Loitering, it's up to you to help Marcel return to his world by exploring the chain of odd hotels he gets transferred to. Help eccentric strangers with their daily problems, discover secrets and lore about the worlds you traverse, and get into plenty of places you shouldn't be in.

Music (not sound effects, only music, and excluding the portal music) was generated at Melobytes.com. The site uses the term "AI" and has since I discovered in in 2021, but I am not sure if their algorithm is true generative AI or procedural generation based on a stock data set, and is labelled as AI to cash in on the trend. No information about their algorithm or data set is provided on their site.

I made the decision to use generated music at the beginning of development, before the ethics of AI were called into question. Regardless, I regret my decision to use generated music and I do not condone the use of AI, especially for money, due to its effects on the environment and its undeniable theft from artists around the world. I will not be using Melobytes.com in future projects.

All other content, graphics, store page materials, engineering/programming, writing, was created by me without the help of AI.
