Miksi Early Access?

We are doing early access because we have a number of plans that we believe are core to the full experience of the game that arent finished yet, but wish to share our current progress with the world as we continue our progress on the game. Our plans include expanding the map as well as expanding the possible interactions a player can have with their sheep, allowing for more cute moments we believe will be core to the experience of the game in our vision.

We are planning for Shepherd to remain in early access for approximately 6 months.

We plan for the full release of Shepherd to include an expanded map for the player to traverse, the inclusion of several important story elements, general quality-of-life improvements to mechanics, more environmental hazards, more interactions a player can take with their sheep, and more!

Our early access version will include all the features described in the About This Game section.

We may be increasing the price as more content and features are added to Shepherd, but it is unlikely to be a very drastic change.

In Shepherd, take up the enchanted crook of your ancestors to lead your small herd of 7 unique sheep from your remote village, through the beautiful desert environment, and onwards to civilization. The village is relying on you! As you navigate the environment, your sheep will, for the most part, travel alongside you in the direction you are traveling. However, the sheep can have minds of their own and decide to go against the grain, wandering off on their own! Each of the seven sheep has its own unique quirks which may present themselves when they engage in this sort of misbehavior, so try to pay attention! It's up to you to round up any sheep that wander off on you!

Care for your sheep! Make sure they are well-fed and hydrated. Keep track of their hunger and thirst meters, and be on the lookout for the various sources of food and water in the environment. if you notice your sheep getting hungry or thirsty, find the nearest source of sustenance for them, or risk both their trust and their lives!

Protect your sheep from an assortment of environmental hazards such as thorny brambles, snakes, poisonous flora, and even a prowling coyote. These hazards can range from minor inconveniences to serious threats to the health of your sheep! With dangers such as these lurking in the desert, it is important you keep track of them and save them from any obstacles they may encounter!

Bond with them through your gameplay; continuously fulfilling your promise and duty to your sheep as their caretaker will increase the trust and friendship your sheep place in you, making them less likely to misbehave for you in the future!

The desert, and more importantly, your sheep await you! It is time to become their Shepherd.
