Miksi Early Access?

Earth's Greatest Defender has reached a state where it can be enjoyed by players, however active development will continue in order to address user feedback and add more content (weapons, levels, challenges...).

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

I'm hoping to end the Early Access phase before the end of 2024. This is to account for all the potential user feedback and give myself enough time to address said feedback before a full release.
Active development EGD will continue beyond the full release.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

While the early access version will have a fully playable campaign, there are some things that I would like to expand for the full release, including but not limited to: more weapons, special weapons, more levels, more challenge levels, achievements, multiplayer modes, community levels...
Features will be prioritized based on feedback.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The early access version contains a fully playable campaign, a multiplayer deathmatch mode, challenge levels and a level editor. Players can create their own levels and suggest them to be added to an upcoming section featuring the best community-made levels.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

At this stage, the plan is to keep the game free for both early access and full release.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

Feedback will be collected through a form within the game, allowing players to get involved in the development.
The roadmap is also accessible within the game.

Earth's Greatest Defender is a passion project that started in December 2021. It takes everything that we love about boomer shooters: fast paced action, loud weapons, tons of explosions, and a lot of obliterated aliens, all with the rhythm of a metal soundtrack.
It is a game about shooting enemies in the most badass way possible.

The game features a familiar set of weapons: machine gun, shotgun, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, and freeze gun. While basic, the real power of those weapons comes from switching between them to adapt to every situation, and combining them with the grappling hook.



Shooting aliens is fun, but doing it while flying around using the grappling hook is 1000% more badass. It is the real star of Earth's Greatest Defender. Grappling can be done on any part of the levels. You can use it to get the high ground, but you can also use it to move super fast and become an unstoppable alien-killing machine.

Built-in level editor


If shooting aliens isn't your thing (really, it should be), Earth's Greatest Defender also features challenge levels, where the goal will be to use the grappling hook and other movement techniques to reach the final teleporter.

If those levels still aren't enough, Earth's Greatest Defender features a map editor which allows you to create fun arenas in just a few clicks. Create the structure, add a few enemies, test it.
Once your level is cool enough, share it and it might just be featured in the game!
