Why Early Access?

“Releasing in early access will allow me to continue to refine, balance, and flesh out existing systems and add free content updates while incorporating valuable player feedback.
This approach has already been taken using the game's demo and has been very effective.
Releasing in early access will allow this collaborative relationship between the developer and the players to continue but on a larger scale.
This period allows me to gather stats on performance issues and improvements across a wider range of hardware.
The bulk of the game's complete content will driven by the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 1 year, with a full release in October 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The most noticeable difference will be the content. I plan to expand the game and how players interact with it, with a focus on player feedback.
The goal for the full release is to be more stable than the early access version. The larger audience of early access will undoubtedly find bugs that will be fixed for full release.
I also envisage a more stable and performant full release version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access version is a playable but content incomplete experience.
Players can play alone or with a team of up to 4 players to find evidence of paranormal activity in a variety of levels to reveal the item causing the possession.
There is also a variety of demon home sub-levels to be explored and survived.
There are many types of enemies with very behaviours and abilities.
There are many tools players can bring into levels to detect paranormal activity, as well as tools to buff certain player stats.
The game features voice recognition which is used to communicate with other players, interact with demons, and interact with some of the tools.
Game-crashing bugs have already been caught and patched out through extensive patching and player feedback through the game's demo.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price will remain the same at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I have seen fantastic results using the current method of community involvement so that will continue during early access.
The game's Discord server has active ideas and bug-report channels that have been key to steering the game to where it is today.
I also plan on continuing to play the game with the community which was also great for seeing bugs first-hand, and for getting a sense of the game's balancing.”
