Why Early Access?

“- The priorities for development are as follows:
1. To ensure the game is fun. (Via player and community feedback)
2. To ensure the game is making steady progress, towards a release in the next few years. (Seeing people care about and have fun with my game is one of the most motivating things for me... alongside a living of course.)
3. To ensure the community is happy and well informed. (We both want the same thing; for the game to be as fun as it can be for YOU.)
- It is worth noting that Stiltfox is currently the focus of the game, and as such, it is the only main enemy currently implemented, with no concrete plans to add more main enemies in the future. It is my goal to craft Stiltfox into the most entertaining battle-buddy you could ask for. I have spent the majority of the past 30 months of work focusing on making sure the core combat is fresh and unique, yet nuanced and deep; playing with the system mechanics in and of itself holds value. However, there is currently not much content in terms of stages or enemy attack patterns, but that will change very soon.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“- The game will be in early access for the forseeable future, although currently my best guess for the 1.0 release is sometime in 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“- The game is currently planned to receive several additional enemies that help to teach the player how the game works.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All of the core combat mechanics are implemented, providing tons of "lab monster" replayability. Basically, its pretty fun to just hit the enemy around and see how long you can get your combos to be.
Death means your run is over. Defeating the enemy Stiltfox allows the player to proceed to the next level, with the difficulty and score multiplier steadily increasing each victory. Try to defeat the enemy Stiltfox as many times in a row as possible and achieve the highest score you can!
Currently, the game has about 10 levels, with most of them being "arena" type levels in which you duel the primary enemy, Stiltfox, and 2 intro levels to help the player warm up, plus a short tutorial for brand new players.

“- The price of the game will be appropriately increased on full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“- I will reply to as many store reviews as I can, as well as providing a discord server for players to suggest additions, identify bugs, and show off just how many times you can make me say "How did you even do that?".”
