What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The current INFINITUM version is in early access because not all the features are completely implemented. I plan to add multiple hazmat suits you can gather, more customization, more levels and entities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access for up to 8 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Some of the features I plan on adding for the full release are the character customization, different endings for the story and I would also want to expand the features already implemented, some of those would include more levels, entities, etc.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently there are 5 levels in the game the player can explore, out of which 4 are infinite. Character customization was implemented, there are two entities, save game is implemented and you can make an infinite amount of save slots”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the game will have the same price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“This is a game where the community is highly Involved, there are a lot of suggestions/ level events/ items added by the community through the discord server.”

About This Game

Infinitum features an unique story with multiple endings, where every choice you make matters. Set in a reimagined backrooms universe, it delivers a fresh, terrifying horror experience. This isn’t just another game where you "wake up in the backrooms" and try to escape. Your decisions determine what your outcome is within the game.

The open-world, non-linear gameplay offers multiple ways to travel between levels, allowing you to choose how you want to play INFINITUM. You can admire the beauty of Level 37 or get lost in the infinite mall of Level 33—if that's what you desire. Just be sure to listen closely, because you never know who or what might be lurking around the corner.

Infinitum has many gameplay mechanics and features that aid the experience of the player.

The multiplayer voting system ensures players work together on decisions like traveling to specific levels or starting quests. Every player must vote "yes" or "no" to move forward, and collective agreement is required. Be mindful, you only have a few seconds to decide, or your vote will be automatically declined.

The bunker is your personal safehouse and the only place where your progress is saved. Inside, you can store, craft, and build items to assist you on your journey. You can also name your bunker and customize the light colors to make it feel even more personal and likable.

To reach the outpost, you must travel through a tunnel from your bunker. Once there, you can interact with NPCs, complete quests, and make crucial decisions to advance the story.

Infinitum is built on a tile-based generation system that creates fresh experiences each time you enter a level. Every level features pre-built rooms with randomized properties like walls, , items, and entities. These rooms appear randomly and infinitely. This unpredictability is the essence of Infinitum, guaranteeing that every playthrough feels like a new adventure.

To survive in the game, you must eat and drink to maintain your stamina. If your stamina runs out, your character won’t be able to sprint, making it much harder to escape if an entity starts chasing you.

Character customization plays a big role in the game. By completing quests and achievements, you'll be able to purchase various hazmat suit colors and models, badges, and other accessories to personalize your character.

Whether you want to play without jumpscares, tackle the game normally, go hardcore or explore without entities, Infinitum offers it all through various game modes, custom worlds, and in-depth settings.

If that didn’t already convince you, you can also adopt fat cats that will stay in your bunker forever. (That was our golden ticket!)

Infinitum is built using the latest Unreal Engine 5 technologies, delivering impressive graphics. However, we understand not everyone has a high-end computer, so we’ve introduced a Performance Mode. This option lowers the graphics quality, allowing players with lower-end PCs to enjoy the game smoothly.
