Why Early Access?

“We are strong believers that community-led development is a crucial path to follow, we want to develop Survivors of the Dawn in cooperation listening to our player suggestions in order to reach the full potential of the game until V1.0. We hope that Early Access will help us take the right actions to make the game as fun as possible at launch and secure an additional revenue stream for sustainable development as we continue to add content throughout the process.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to release it in no longer than 6 months as our main focus is to collect as much feedback and suggestion as possible from as many players as possible by the time. However, the roadmap is subject to change according to how the game will progress with the community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Alongside a balanced and polished gameplay; we plan to enhance the existing ready-to-play version of the features with;
longer contents,
weapon-item variety,
random events and tasks variety,
more universes to land on.
So that players can have an even more customized playstyle in the game along with more polished balance and core gameplay mechanics.

All of these upgrades will be introduced gradually during the Early Access phase aimed to provide a variety of content in the final version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is only an excerpt of what we want to do with SotD.
It includes:
2 characters,
2 different biomes,
various map destinations,
30+ enemy types,
15+ items,
8 auto-weapons,
4 synergy bonuses,
10 passive skills,
10+ random events,
3+ in-map tasks,
6 upgradable main weapon modifiers.

We plan to add more features such as more content, more weapon classes for synergies, randomly generated universes, and playable characters over time. It would also include additional game modes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“When the final version launches, we expect to increase the price reasonably because of all the various content and features that will be available along the way to completing the core development pillar. Of course, those who buy the game during Early Acces will not be affected and the community will be notified of price changes in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord channel is the main medium we stay connected to our community but we are also quite active on our Twitter and Steam spaces. We mostly do try to include our community in the decision-making process with their feedback as much as possible. We plan on continuing this both during and long after Early Access ends. So don’t hesitate to ask questions, suggest new features, and report bugs in any place we are available at! Our ultimate goal is to carry our game to its full potential into something that we all would want to play.”
