What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our team has been working on No Water in Hell ever since 2019, and we have been adding new content on our own time and money independently. Our team is passionate about what we do, and we want to ensure we can offer players the best content we can make as we add new bosses, time trial biomes, items, enemies, and other content during the development process. We have been developing this game primarily in our spare time and are hoping to use Early Access to help bring our game to completion faster.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Game development is tough to map sometimes, but the team anticipates No Water in Hell will exit Early Access sometime 2024. While we have ideas for what we need to do prior to the full release, ultimately player feedback and timeline constraints help us determine what makes it into the final version of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of our game we plan to release will have an additional boss, enemies, bioms, items, included along with audio, visual, and other content added to the game. We want players to get the most out of game they can in the ways they enjoy playing, so as feedback rolls in we may adjust our plans accordingly. Please note that these plans are subject to change with development, testing, and feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our 0.5 Early Access version features:

- 6 Bosses
- 6 Biomes
- A starting hub area
- Diverse range of enemies
- Weapons, Armor, and other Loot
- Expansive soundtrack
- and more!

The Early Access Version of No Water in Hell is relatively close to release currently; we are working on the final boss, three new biomes (two of which will be time trial levels), other content features, and some other quality of life additions. But many of the major features in No Water in Hell are either being tested or complete at this point. Our team is focused on polish and some content additions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We intend to raise the price when publishing the 1.0 release version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can join our discord server here (https://discord.gg/zjGStUnwPW) where they can hang out, provide feedback, and talk with developers about things they'd like to see in-game within coming versions of the game. We also take Steam reviews into account and will do our very best to keep an eye on the Steam discussions. Our team is pretty friendly, so please don't feel shy about talking to us!”
