Varför Early Access?

“Before we answer that question, let's briefly tell who we are and why this game ended up in early access on Steam. In 2019 Andrew Magelan, who is responsible for content generation in our team, got the idea to create a 3D space shooter on ships, but his skills were enough only to model ships, stations and space objects. Then another character with video editing and marketing skills joins his idea. We had to start somewhere. Started with the creation of pages in social networks, where the main content was the ships animated in After Effects, setting and sketches of the interface. For two years the game was in the content modeling mode and social networking posts. The result was the acquaintance on our thematic page with Ivan, who is as crazy as we are, having a big game background behind him, the desire to create his own game, and most importantly who has skills in Unreal, to finally fire up the nozzle in the engine! After hours and hours of heated discussions in the team we decided to change the direction of the genre and start sawing RPGs in isometrics on spaceships in the style of Diablo, Part of Exile, Inquisitor, with its sci-fi setting.
And we are here!

At the moment, we've created a fascinating product with our small but ambitious team, where you can have fun, even though the game is not yet in its final version. Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“The game was created half a year before it was released at an early stage. Recall, we are 3 people and due to circumstances, most of the work is done by 1.5 people. We hope that all planned features will be completed in 1-2 years. In any case, we continue to generate new content and we are not going to stop!”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Clearly, we understand the direction in which to move the game, developing and expanding functionality. Much will still depend on what suggestions follow from our community, which we are very much counting on. Our main goals are to improve the mechanics and visuals (graphing, effects etc). We also plan to add/improve functionality on the way to the full version:

- New ship classes and new types of ship turrets.
Wake up Magelan in the middle of the night and the first thing he'll do is go model ships, so there will be enough choices in the hangars to keep you from getting bored. To create new ships the player will have to find blueprints in the sectors and build hangars in the station, where the assembly process will take place.
- The station on which the players are based, the possibility of improving and upgrading it.
At the station, where people will live and work, you can build new hangars, improve and add compartments, which, in turn, will affect the capabilities of the players living on the station.
- Heaps of various enemies, ships, the system of development of both the main character and the heroes.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“At this point, the foundation is laid with the core mechanics and gameplay of the game - sat down and flew! In the game you can go through 5 missions, the complexity of which becomes increasingly difficult, to go out and get fresh air in the sector just do not get, you have to sweat. For the successful completion of missions the player gets experience points, which will be needed to competently improve the skills of the captain.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price of the game as we add more features and content, sobering up the cost of our product. We value the time and effort of the players who support us, so the price of the base game will not increase for those who purchased it at the original cost.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Recently, the discord has become a second home for our team, where we keep in touch with each other, planning goals and solving game problems. Therefore, we will be waiting for you on our server, where you can freely become involved in the development of Star Rangers and have a good time. We also look forward to seeing you in our Steam community.”
