Returning players

This update requires a new save. Saves from earlier versions are not compatible, and existing legacy save files are left untouched. Start a fresh railway in Challenge mode, or choose Sandbox for unlimited funds.

Your railway, across China

Build a passenger railway network across a map of China. Start with your first intercity connection, then link more cities into a network of your own design. Choose where to build, where trains should stop, and which connection deserves your next investment.

Make every connection count

Place stations, lay track and assign trains to routes. Run stopping services between cities or use terminal-only express services for longer journeys. Connect services at interchange stations so passengers can continue towards their destinations.

Keep passengers moving

Set fares, watch station queues and onboard capacity, and upgrade stations, tracks and trains as your network grows. Every expansion brings construction and maintenance costs. Search your cities and fleet, name your trains, and use passenger-demand views to guide your next move.

Choose your challenge

Meet weekly passenger goals to earn expansion funds, or start in Sandbox with unlimited money. If a Challenge run misses its target, you can keep the railway and continue in Sandbox.

• Plan at your pace with pause and 1x, 2x or 4x simulation speed.
  
• Undo the last stop while planning a train route, and add intermediate stations to eligible unused track.
  
• Keep your railways in five manual save slots, with a separate quicksave and autosave.
  
• Play with English or Simplified Chinese menus, help and map labels.
