What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game started as a passion project of mine and an experiment of the Api that I used to generate the buildings. I wanted to see if I could make a real time strategy game out of this new tech and so I did. I am currently pretty far in the development of the game but since it is such a large experience releasing it for early access is the easiest way for me to find problems with the project and expand on features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I hope to get the project to a point I'm happy fully releasing in the beginning of early 2023.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be a lot more full and complete with multiple intersecting gameplay loops. While the early access will be a much simpler experience while I iron out bugs and add features.

I plan on adding many huge features in the coming months. Such as...
- War and political alliances with other players
- Trading and construction of docks in your empire
- Airports and airforce
- The ability to bomb other empires
- A more advanced NPC system
- AI empires that can attack and defend you
- Systems of mass control over your empire once it gets large
and more”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It is a quite simple experience with some basic multiplayer interaction and full empire capability.

Current Features:
- Start your empire by creating its name and color
- Begin your journey by selecting any real-world building as your HQ
- Generate money based on how many citizens you have
- Claim other nearby buildings by purchasing them
- Set newly claimed buildings to housing or storage
- When you set the buildings, they spawn props around them, and citizens start walking around your empire
- You can create sectors and label them as you choose
- You can take over sectors by claiming all the buildings in them
- You can construct storage slots in the storage buildings you set
- You can scan for nearby mineral deposits and claim them
- You can set up citizen jobs and collect the resources”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I do plan on pricing the game a little differently depending on how much I believe the project is worth to the average person.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I take often and amazing suggestions from my discord community and even add whole new features based on what they suggest.”

About This Game

World of Fate is a massive strategy game where you spend your time taking over real life buildings and establishing your empire on the real life map. The game uses super advanced tech to provide real time street data and building data to create all the terrain and play space.

You can begin the game in any part of the world by establishing your HQ in an existing building. Every single real life building is rendered and saved in game for you to take over and expand. You can even set up colonies to take over distant lands far away from your HQ.

You can claim land by creating sectors around buildings that you own. If you do not own all of the buildings in the sector, it will be marked as contested until you manage to take over all of the buildings within its borders.

All buildings on earth can be claimed and modified for different purposes. You could claim a bunch of buildings and set some to storage and others to housing.

By accessing your HQ you can manage your empire and its citizens. You can manage citizen hippieness and citizen taxes. The higher the taxes the more money you make but at a cost.

You can manage the resources in your empire by claiming buildings and setting their purpose to storage. You are then able to expand within the building and increase the storage size of the building. There is also different resource cost for different storage compartments.
