Why Early Access?

“I’m entering early access with the basic fun(dementals) of the game down, now I want your input to build further on aspects of the game that people enjoy. Do players love the exploration, great, I’ll add more maps. Do they want more in depth fishing mechanics, then I’ll work on that. So the main reason is to get feedback and it’s also a way of marketing the game and to keep players coming back to see new features.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I’m not entirely sure, this really depends on what features the community wants to see. But at least 3 months of development to add the features I would want to consider the game “done”. This might seem short but I’ve made ridiculous progress so far. In a very short amount of time I got all the gameplay features done for the first release (apart from the full map and all 100 fish which are not yet finished at time of writing). So I think the game will have several times the features after those minimum 3 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“A massive amount of features like new map(s), boats, more fish and new fishing mechanics are planned (however not confirmed). Other things I haven’t thought of yet that players suggest will most likely be added too.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the features on this store page will be in the first early access release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Expect a price bump after early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will (try to) post a devlog at least once a week and I will post on twitter about the development as well. Community members can always contact me about bugs and feature ideas. I will consider adding them but of course I can’t add everything, however I am excited to hear from everyone what they would like to see.”
