What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“With our two-person development team, we thrive on creating the best experience for ourselves and players. Early Access gives us the chance to, yes, release early build(s), but also have the chance to continuously build the game how we or the community wants. With our team's limited time this is the best option for us. Our current goals for Dwarves Mining Idle is to insure the grind aspect is up to our standards and Semi-Idler standards. We want to make sure you can play continuously if you're active and have features to make the game fully idle if you're away. More so, we're big on bug fixes. Before we're ready to completely release major new content, we feel that it is best to work on fixing bugs first. Not only that, we have major updates planned that will include a huge amount of content. Roadmap included below for more details about our planned updates.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until we see fit that the game is stable, content is abundant and all roadmap promises have been met. Roughly by 12/31/24.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our planned features will include a bit more of a grind and micro-managing. One of the major planned additions is "The surface" where it'll add a TON more content -- not just underground, but above ground. With the full version we also plan to add a lot of QoL changes to the UI and other mechanics of the game to make players enjoy the game better without being overwhelmed. Roadmap included below for more details about our planned updates.

For more info look at our roadmap!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Refer to the "About This Game" section below.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After careful consideration the price after Early Access will be slightly increased.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a discord where the community can give us ideas and create bug reports to insure the game is working up to our and your standards. This goes for the Community Hub discussion forum as well. The community will have a say in our planned major changes to the game that will potentially create game changing mechanics that could impact certain grinding aspects. We want to make sure that the new updates aren't forcefully removing fluid, consistent ways of grinding - and that's where you'll come in by giving us ideas on these updates!”

Roadmap

About This Game

World

The world is made up of Floors and Areas. These Floors and Areas are the essential life of Dwarves Mining Idle, well, besides the Dwarves of course! Areas are infinite and Floors can be leveled and upgraded to become more powerful.

Floors

Floors are costly, but they are valuable! A Floor is made up of types: Mineable, Combat, Liquid and Loot. Each Floor type has its own value to material farming. While your Dwarves are working hard, your Floors will earn experience and they will be able to level up to earn points for upgrades to make material farming much easier. You can also Convert Floors if you need to change your strategy for efficiency.

Dwarves

Dwarves Mining Idle would be nothing without... Dwarves, right? Put your Dwarves to work on Floors. They will automatically start working once in the World so you won't have to bother them too much!

Buying a Dwarf
Starting out you will have a free choice for any Dwarf with any special stat and ultimate ability you'd like. After purchasing a Dwarf with materials, you can choose to keep your Dwarf "benched" or spawn him in the World to work.

Cloning a Dwarf
Cloning Dwarves together is simple. Choose which ones you'd like to Clone and tada! The stats will merge together and any stat the Dwarf didn't have before will learn the one from your second or first Dwarf you chose to clone together.

Skills
Once your Dwarf is ready, unlocking its Skill Tree can open a whole new world to what your Dwarves will be able to do.

Placeables

A placeable, once available, is a crucial part of continuing the material grind! Furnace, Crusher, Bottler and more! Smelt, Crush and Pump your way up to the top. Using fuel that Dwarves gather from Mining and other sources will allow you to create many more items with placeables!
