What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“With our two-person development team, we thrive on creating the best experience for ourselves and players. Early Access gives us the chance to, yes, release early build(s), but also have the chance to continuously build the game how we or the community wants. With our team's limited time this is the best option for us. Our current goals for Dwarves Mining Idle is to insure the grind aspect is up to our standards and Semi-Idler standards. We want to make sure you can play continuously if you're active and have features to make the game fully idle if you're away. More so, we're big on bug fixes. Before we're ready to completely release major new content, we feel that it is best to work on fixing bugs first. Not only that, we have major updates planned that will include a huge amount of content. Roadmap included below for more details about our planned updates.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until we see fit that the game is stable, content is abundant and all roadmap promises have been met. Roughly by 12/31/24.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our planned features will include a bit more of a grind and micro-managing. One of the major planned additions is "The surface" where it'll add a TON more content -- not just underground, but above ground. With the full version we also plan to add a lot of QoL changes to the UI and other mechanics of the game to make players enjoy the game better without being overwhelmed. Roadmap included below for more details about our planned updates.

For more info look at our roadmap!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Refer to the "About This Game" section below.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After careful consideration the price after Early Access will be slightly increased.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a discord where the community can give us ideas and create bug reports to insure the game is working up to our and your standards. This goes for the Community Hub discussion forum as well. The community will have a say in our planned major changes to the game that will potentially create game changing mechanics that could impact certain grinding aspects. We want to make sure that the new updates aren't forcefully removing fluid, consistent ways of grinding - and that's where you'll come in by giving us ideas on these updates!”

About This Game

Dwarves Mining Idle is a Semi-Idler

Starting with a lonely Dwarf, endlessly mine to gather materials and use them to progress farther. Have more Dwarves join in, craft resources and upgrade literally everything!

Semi-Idle?

Semi-Idle is where you can play the game if you're active on your PC or if you're AFK, it'll play by itself (Idle). Basically, it's a time filler to micro-manage what you need to within the game. The Semi-Idle idea we added is for the player(s) to enjoy the game both ways: Idle and Active.

Dwarves, Upgrades and More!

Grind, grind, grind! Dwarves will work hard to make all the numbers go up, but you're the leader! Take charge in setting their behavior, ensuring they are prepared for combat and more! Each Dwarf has their own stats. Statistics are based on the current floor your Dwarf is in, allowing you input points in separate certain stats and come up with different ways to grind for materials and items!

Areas & Floors

Areas
Each Area has a level and is 8 tiles long. Between those tiles are mineral deposits. If all of those materials are mined within an area then a new area will spawn. Progressing through area levels will unlock new ore types and more!

Floors
Floors contain areas. This is one of the major progression unlocks of Dwarves Mining Idle. The idea is; the more floors you have, the different ways you can customize each floor with upgrades and build them how you want to grind for materials, items, etc. Each floor has a limitation on Placeable Objects and Dwarves.

Combat

The further your Dwarves mine, there's a chance for enemies to attack because you're disturbing their rest. Enemies can drop special items for crafting or Dwarf upgrades.

Crafting

What's the purpose of mining materials if you cannot do something with them!? Each material has its own purpose. Most materials can be smelted or become apart of a recipe to craft upgrades for your Dwarf or other valuable perks.

Placeable Objects

Placeable Objects are highly important. Progressing, you will eventually unlock these objects to place down on a floor to help you smelt, craft, fuse together materials and more!

So what are you waiting for? Come join the Dwarves and conquer this different style of the Idler genre.
