“We plan to implement global online multiplayer, as well as additional maps, throwable items and modes (including team-based modes).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Retail Wars includes 2 maps, a hub space, 4-player simultaneous play and fully featured combat and movement systems. This allows us to get proper feedback and data from players to improve these elements and inform future development progress.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, the project will be free to ensure we receive feedback from a large pool of users. As we add more content to the game, especially after major additions like Online Play, we plan to increase the price to cover development costs.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The project has been showcased at multiple conventions before, such as PAX AUS 2022. This provides in-person engagement with fans. We also plan on expanding our online presence with Discord and Reddit communities.”
