Why Early Access?

“Early access allows players to board their own Skyship as soon as possible. Our goal is to make Clouds Ahoy! as fun and engaging as it can possibly be. The best way to achieve this is by working directly with the community. Player feedback and suggestions are invaluable in prioritizing new features and improving on the existing systems.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to have a one-year early access period. But more importantly, we want Clouds Ahoy! to be in a refined and well rounded state for its full release. The early access period might therefore be extended or shortened, depending on community feedback and development speed.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release we are planning on expanding many existing features as well as designing completely new ones. This includes more worlds with varying environments, new and challenging enemy types as well as more Skyship parts, items and weapons. Additionally, there will be more visual variety for Skyports and Skyships. This, of course, does not list the features that are developed together with the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All features mentioned in the game's description are fully playable in the current version of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricing of Clouds Ahoy! will be reevaluated throughout development so it reflects the current state and scope of the game. To this end, we are planning on slightly increasing the price as more features are added and the game approaches its full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players are welcome to actively participate in guiding the development of Clouds Ahoy! by getting in touch through Discord or the Steam community hub.Through these channels players are encouraged to ask questions, give feedback, suggest new features, or report bugs.”
