Why Early Access?

“Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds is a sprawling RPG with an in-depth, ambitious tactics combat system. Though a lot of time and effort is spent on designing each aspect of the game, we still want to leverage the feedback and opinions of our wonderful community to create the best possible RPG experience—featuring nail-biting, balanced combat, immersive places to explore, unique characters to interact with, a satisfying progression rate, and more. If you can't wait to explore the game's world, or would like to participate in refining the game in any way, then this Early Access release is for you!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As many of the game's core systems and engines have been largely or fully implemented, we estimate that Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds will remain in early access for 12-14 months. During this time, we will design and complete the rest of the game's content while refining the existing implementations.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to release content throughout the Early Access period, up until the game reaches completion. This will include, but is not limited to the following: new areas, NPCs, enemies, dialogue, fully-animated equipment and skills, completed 3-part Story Mode, numerous side quests and side stories, many more profession and exploration systems, the complete Gauntlet Mode, and finetuned combat in both modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access release features part of the first chapter of the Guild Saga: Vanished World's Story Mode. You will be able to access various locations in Respite Island, obtain loot from a pool of hundreds of equipment pieces and other items, utilize gathering and crafting professions, and acquire 50 skills spread among 10 schools—all of which we will continue to build upon up until release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds will feature an introductory price during its time in Early Access, and will be increased when the full version of the game becomes available.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to closely monitor feedback from our community as well as regularly engage in conversation with them to learn more about their thoughts and criticism in detail. Members of the community who want to share their thoughts with us should join us on Discord, where our designers and developers can be reached. If you do not use Discord, you may start a thread on our Steam Community forum which we will also keep a close eye on.”

About This Game

Enter the Realm of Aarde:
Where an enraged deity threatens his wrath upon humanity in search of vengeance; tensions begin to boil as the kingdoms of man, elf, and beast teeter on the cusp of war; all while a mysterious cabal attempts to resurrect an ancient evil that once tore the world asunder. Though you are but a mere fledgling on your first mission in the name of the Heroes Guild, you will inevitably find yourself entwined in some of these catastrophes...

Classic Turn-based Combat
Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds features a tactical turn-based battle system reminiscent of many old-school RPG classics. Assemble your party and hone your strategy in order to vanquish your enemies.

Endless Customization
Customize your player character and companions to create the perfect party:
• Choose from over a hundred skills spread across ten different schools to learn
• Increase attributes to grow stronger, unlock dialogue options, or gain exploration boosts
• Sift through thousands of items—each with their own flavour texts—to find the perfect fit

Assemble the Perfect Party
Build your dream party by recruiting heroes, wizards, misfits, and even animal companions scattered throughout the continents of Aarde.

Fully Customizable Companions
Companions have inventories, equipment, and skills separate from yours, allowing you to build them in any way you see fit. Companions may also bring along character-exclusive skills that may allow for alternate, uncanny styles of play.

More Than Friends
Your companions are more than just allies in battle! Each companion is recruited differently and comes with their own unique backstory, side quests, as well as hours of meaningful dialogue. They might even impact the game's story in a major way depending on the choices you make!

Become a Master of Professions
Mine, fish, cook. Craft, enchant, brew. Or, pick at someone's pocket or locked chest. These are just a fraction of the professions one might acquire while exploring the lands of Aarde.

Gather Resources
Many professions such as fishing, woodcutting, and herbalism allow you to gather materials outside of battle. You could sell your finds to a merchant for silver, or keep them around to craft or use later.

Craft & Enchant Items
Put your accumulated materials to use in various crafting or enchantment-related professions. Give your party a boost in battle with stat-enhancing dishes from Cooking, add elemental buffs to your weapon using Alchemy, forge new equipment with Crafting, and more.

Artisan's Edge
Many of the game's best items—such as Dragonscale or Dragonhide gear—require mastery in one or more professions to process into usable pieces. Plus, certain NPCs will only speak to you once you've levelled certain professions!

Immersive Story Campaign
Experience a thoughtfully-crafted main narrative, alongside countless meaningful character stories through NPCs, side quests, and lore found in items and the environment.

Your Decisions Matter
The choices you make can impact the world around you. Curry favor with certain characters to be rewarded with items or access to their homes; or incur their wrath by brazenly picking their pockets in broad daylight.

Branching Paths
Many puzzles often come with alternative solutions. Explore them during subsequent playthroughs to discover new areas, stories, and perhaps even a missable companion or two. If you're persistent enough, you might even alter the fate of the world...

Introducing: The Gauntlet
The Gauntlet is a thrilling, roguelike-style survival mode where your team of heroes must traverse through a procedurally-generated labyrinth filled with tough foes, hazardous environments, valuable treasure, and mystical powerups.

Supporting Companions
Bring up to a party of 10 along—4 to do battle with in your active party, 2 as supporters to grant bonuses, while the rest remain on the bench as reserves to be tagged in between levels.

Bolster Your Party with Upgrades
Spend your hard-earned silver to purchase perks or upgrades that buff your entire party. Learn to synergize them with your party while managing your resources in order to succeed in your descent.
