Proč předběžný přístup?

„We want to create an experience that is as close as possible to real life climbing and bouldering, with optimal controls. We also need a lot of (real-world) content. Early access allows us to launch the core of the game, while we gradually add cliffs and buildings from all over the world. Feedback during early access greatly helps us to sharpen the controls and climbing mechanics.“

„Our current plan is to leave early access in the spring of 2025!“

„More (real world) locations to climb. Better climbing mechanics.

Because we utilize IK and physics, the game will never be fully quirk-less, not even in a released version. But during early access we will develop the climbing system toward both the most smooth and realistic gameplay as possible.“

V jaké fázi vývoje se hra nachází?

„We have steam workshop support, 10 locations and about ~250 routes. If you want to fully grind/complete every route with 3 stars, that will take you over 100 hours easily.

The climbing system is almost where we want it to be, but not yet there. Coming autumn and winter we're going to work hard on improving it again!

Also taking suggestions on the Discord, and going to work on ropes / safety mechanisms.“

„Yes, it will gradually have more content and be more expensive. We are very happy if you try the game in early access. It would give us confidence that there is interest in an in-depth climbing and bouldering game. Also it would support us financially to scan and implement new locations, which we will happily add for free during the early access.“

„Feedback from our community is essential to create a realistic climbing and bouldering game that you actually enjoy to play. Also, later, if time allows it, we want to enable the community to contribute to creating locations in the game. We use the Discord server and the Steam forums as our primary ways to talk to the community.“

New Heights allows you to experience parts of the real climbing experience. It features the most realistic physics-based climbing mechanics to date, taking grip, balance, body position and hold directions into account. Approach climbing and bouldering problems just like in real life. Feel the adrenaline rush as you make your way upwards, and the sense of accomplishment as you reach the top.

Explore Epic European Crags

Explore a vast amount of routes across Europe, from quick boulder sessions in Fontainbleau to 30 minute climbs at Freÿr, Belgium and old ruins of castles and chapels. Push the boundaries of what's possible in climbing and bouldering. Try out free solo climbing and bouldering from the safety of your computer and climb routes that are inaccessible in real life.

Create Custom Routes and Locations

Create locations with full creative freedom using our custom Unity-based workshop tool. Set your routes with pre-made holds, or import any 3D model to climb it in New Heights. Or design new pitches while climbing at existing crags. The workshop possibilities are vast!
