God Machines is a turn-based tactical RPG with roguelike features where you play as a sentient AI fighting for survival in a hostile post-nuclear world. Control a squad of Combatants through a Brainlink interface to gather resources and rebuild the GRID infrastructure to expand your reach. Improve your Combatants by enhancing their flesh or replacing it with augmentations. Decide the fate of those who fall under your dominion. It is up to you if you annihilate or enslave them, but remember that in a world corrupted by life, decisions are driven by emotions, deception is lurking everywhere, and only the most ruthless will thrive.

Use the Assembler to meld three species: Humans, Synths, and Machines into unique and fully customizable Combatants. Each combatant starts with Instructions that provide basic controls like movement and melee attacks. Equip them with weapon modules to unlock new Instructions. Every Combatant has two slots for Mods that alter the mechanics of equipped Instructions. Experiment with different approaches and learn your enemy's preferences and weaknesses to exploit them effectively. Fate is nothing but a good use of data.

A turn-based combat system without a dice roll based on five primary stats (Health, Energy, Attack, Defense, and Speed), where the cumulative impact of distance between Combatants, placement on the battlefield, and effects caused by Instructions can severely impact the stats. Slow down enemies to finish them off before they move, surround them to reduce their Defense, or inject your Combatants with neurochems to increase their Attack and Speed at the cost of Defense. Watch and control your Energy levels as depleting them on every Combatant results in automatic defeat. An ideal battle system for real strategists.

Enter a procedurally generated world of tactical strategy and turn-based gameplay with rogue-like elements that offer endless replayability. Command your squads of Combatants across hexagonal maps as you conquer the shattered lands. Decide the fate of the primitive life that infests the planet while avoiding shutdown as your resources dwindle. This may hurt your ego, but it's hard to erase a God. Failure means you will reboot on a new map with all your combatants and base intact.

• Explore three distinct Zones filled with roaming bands of enemies, scattered resources, missions, and highly defended Sectors that provide great rewards.
  
• Expand your base to unlock new powers. Increase the mobility of your squads by upgrading their vehicles or craft modules with gathered resources.

• Exploit the local settlements of other species to gain a constant stream of vital resources.
  
• Exterminate those who stand against your will. Can you co-exist with other God Machines or will you commit the greatest sin of deicide?

  

• Incidents – a series of predefined battles that reward you with blueprints required to craft new items.
  
• Online Battle – use the power of the GRID Network to find and smash other Players in battle and test both your tactical skills and squad capabilities.
  
• Custom Battle – play a safe simulation battle where you can pitch your squads against each other, test them against random squads, or even disable AI to play a duel with a friend.
  
• Quick Battle - play a quick randomized battle against AI to gather resources.
