About This Game

EthrA is an RPG/Adventure and open world game that revolves around the misadventures of two characters: Bob and Veil.
Both will explore the land of EthrA and uncover a thousand year lie the world already forgot about.

Centuries ago the world was blooming with technology and magic made by the ancient. Due to unknown reasons, they vanished without a trace and now all that is left are giant monoliths that generate energy that fuel the world. This energy is called EthrA: it naturaly crystallizes into fragments, which are usually found near those monoliths and have different forms and colors depending on the properties of this crystal. They can be used to produce different sources of energy.

No one knows the true origin of these crystals, but humanity has grown used to their uses and commodities. It is widely believed that these were created by this ancient civilization. All they left behind are the monoliths and some ruins with unknown symbols.

In differente parts of the world some locations have been found surrounded by multiples monoliths which are extremely rare. Naturally the EthrA generation in those places is extreme, so much that it crystallizes organic life into EthrA. Some of these locations are not fully known to man. These locations have taken different meanings for each group from cults worshipping them to being used as touristic attractions. Also they are used as a massive EthrA exportation zone.

These locations are usually lifeless, specially around the highest levels of EhtrA concentration. The only thing that is known that gets through such concentration of EhtrA energy are dragons. It has been reported that dragons come every now and then to do something near the summit of these locations, usually seen with their scales tinted in a bright blue color. Experiments with scattered scales have confirmed its resistance to EthrA protecting dragons from being crystallized.
They cannot stay very long though, otherwise they will crystallizes. Dragons are usually pacific, but they are very valued because their scales are the only known material resistant to EthrA. Because of this, humans hunt them with the objective of tearing some scales. The only registered successful hunt happened centuries ago and the valuables belong to the royalty.

You'll be playing as Bob, a farm boy who left his homeland in search of a more interesting way of living, by rare chance he ended up meeting Veil, a child of a very unusual species. They are very reserved and rarely allow themselves to be seen. They are also known for their unique ability to easily manipulate EthrA. It is believed that this species used to help the ancients as they have been identified in some engravings in various ruins.

Bob will be in charge of melee attacks and Veil will be casting magic to support him.
