Why Early Access?

“Rufalicious Gaming is a very small team of just one person: Me! This is my second release. Although I am very excited to share this gaming concept with the community, I want to guarantee a stable, complete, exciting experience by full release. My goal is that Early Release will help me engage with the community to create a gaming experience that is as fun and satisfying as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I approximate this Early Access period to run for about 12 months. Although the game is fully functional and stable, it is still in development and, in my opinion, needs more community feedback to reach its full potential.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“This depends on the feedback from the community! What would you like to see in this game? Do you want more complex illnesses to confront? Do you want character customization or skill trees? Is the difficulty too easy, too hard? By the end of Early Access, I hope to have a better idea of what the community would like to see expanded in the gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Apothecary is fully functional, allowing you to gather ingredients to cure the citizens of your realm from whatever wacky illness that befalls them. The gameplay, in its current state, is fairly simple:

You are confronted by a series of clients who need your help. You must figure out, by trial and error and intuition, which ingredients help and which harm. As you gather more ingredients, you learn more about their potential. Each illness you must cure will require different ingredients. You must learn as much as you can to become a master, gain the love of your realm, and reach your fullest potential.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will not change when Early Access ends.”

About This Game

Citizens of your realm are being cursed with wild, fantastical illnesses. George has octopus tentacles growing from his ears and Elenora can't stop burping up slugs! You're the Apothecary: gather ingredients and mix them to create potions to cure as many citizens as you can. But be warned, you are all on your own in figuring out which ingredients work and which don't. Mix the wrong ingredients and you're more likely to kill them than cure them.

--Confront over 50 different illnesses, ranging from steam spouting from ears to gnomes growing out of legs.
--Find and gather over 125 ingredients across 5 different biomes.
--Manage your inventory, gathering new ingredients as you run out.
--Use your 5 senses (visual, auditory, gustatory, physical, and olfactory) to help you determine which ingredients to use.
--Gain the favor of your rulers and your realm: the more people you cure, the more respected you become.
--Learn as much as you can about the ingredients through discovery: find as many rare ingredients as possible to make super potions.
