Why Early Access?

“We've showcased Vivat Slovakia at every relevant exhibition, interview, or lecture, and for a while, we even shared details directly from our workshop in the form of Vivat Wednesday development diaries. We want to continue this transparent approach with our community, which is why the next natural step for us is to give our players the opportunity to actually play Vivat Slovakia and not only evaluate but also directly influence its final form.

Games like Vivat Slovakia greatly benefit from feedback, and we've discovered that collaborating directly with players during development enhances the gaming experience. Our Early Access launch aims to provide players with a rewarding experience they deserve while also enabling us to engage with the community to discover fresh gameplay possibilities. Throughout this process, we'll gradually introduce new features and address any issues to continually improve the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our estimation suggests that Vivat Slovakia may remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. Nonetheless, we prioritize delivering a fully polished experience over adhering strictly to a timeline. Rest assured, Vivat Slovakia will transition out of Early Access only when it meets our standards of readiness.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Vivat Slovakia currently has the complete planned map of virtual Bratislava, wherein players can freely travel on foot or by car and experience the first half of the story missions set in the wildly intriguing 90's. Our virtual city has a working day and night cycle, a wanted system, car and arms shops as well as a safe house for the main character.

The available story missions contain full voiceovers and an automatic safe/checkpoint system. The car radio includes a custom radio channel as well as the option to play your own music. For more details on features that are already implemented, please refer to the "About this game" section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes 🔖. Our supporters during the crowdfunding campaign had the lowest price for the full game as a reward in the "I. level - Full game" tier. We'll offer a slightly higher but still reduced price for supporting the Early Access version of the game. The final price will be set upon completion of the Vivat Slovakia game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“During Early Access, we invite the entire community to actively engage in shaping the evolution of Vivat Slovakia. We encourage Early Access participants to join our Discord community, where they can directly interact with the development team and contribute to the game's future direction. Additionally, we're implementing a bug submission system directly in-game for streamlined feedback gathering. Alongside Discord, we'll be attentive to player input across our social media platforms and closely monitor discussions on the Steam Community forums. Your input is invaluable in guiding the game's development journey.”
