With four directions of attack and defense, the combat of Talon's Blade provides both a strategic and reactionary gameplay experience. Overwhelm your foe with a flurry of strikes, or wait for them to make the first move and punish their attack with a well-timed parry. Feint your attack to throw your opponent off balance or kick them off a ledge. You can focus on increasing your combo to cast a devastating spell or take an elixir to empower each strike. Feel the flow of combat as you deflect incoming attacks and respond with lethal strikes. Explore the strengths and weaknesses of each foe, looking for an opening to execute the killing blow.

The combos you create when attacking empower you to unleash devastating magical attacks upon your enemies. Conjure destructive fire storms, trap your enemies in entropic stasis, and summon lightning from the heavens to smite your foes. The higher the combo, the more potent the spell. How this power manifests depends on the spells you unlock throughout your adventure. The more adversaries you defeat, the more you can upgrade your arsenal of combo-finishing spells.

To arms! Discover eighteen unique weapon and armor sets, each with an array of attributes to customize your look and stats. Utilize the equipment that compliments your play style. Your equipment determines not only your damage and defense but also your attack speed and stamina cost of actions. Tailor your perfect combo of speed and lethality to devastate your foes.

Harvest potent alchemical ingredients from land and fallen foes to craft powerful elixirs to aid you on your journey. Brew some soul elixirs to regenerate your magic, craft firebombs to set your enemies and fields alight, and create healing potions or harmful poisons.

Talon's Blade is the tale of one man's quest for vengeance, set within a medieval dark fantasy world where war-ravaged lands have been brought to the brink of collapse. Take control of Marcus Veridius as he embarks to find the one who betrayed him. Make deals with a demon, cast powerful spells, brew and utilize potent elixirs, choose who to help and abandon, take on ancient ghosts from forgotten worlds, and fight your way to the heart of the corruption that plagues these war-torn lands.

For 20 years war has been waged across the land. For 20 years the soldiers of the Southern Empire and the Rasnayan Legion have clashed. In a bid to bring the war to a decisive close, the Emperor has sent his elite force of agents, known only as the Talons, on a covert operation with the hopes of turning the tides of war.

But all is not what it seems within the Empire. Treason has led to the capture and near extinction of the Talons.
