Why Early Access?

“I want to hear what the Community thinks about the game during EA and add any cool ideas for Powers, Gears, Maps or Characters that the players would like to see in the game if it is doable to implement. Psion Protocol Discord channel is available for anyone who wants to discuss the development of the game, you can find the link in our Youtube channel, or comment directly in the video updates for the game on Youtube, you can also contact the Psi Dev email for any inquiries or feedback on the game!

The goal of this project is to make a game that is fun to play, and I want to work with the people who might like this style of gameplay and setting to expand the idea into something greater than I could by just doing it myself until I consider it "completed", if the project gets enough attention I will continue to work on adding features for as long as people enjoy playing it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The content planned for 1.0v released is expected to be completed within a year of the early access release or less, depending on community feedback, after that, any extra content released will be released as free DLCs.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“the set of planned content for 1.0 release, includes the Campaign, different modes and difficulties applicable to both Survival and Campaign modes (Super speed mode, Hard mode), 8 more characters to join the 7 released in EA for a total of 15, 35 powers compared to 12 in EA, 25 Upgrades, at least 30 different enemy unit sprites and 4 Bosses.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is released in Early Access with the following features already implemented:

Survival Mode
7 Playable Characters (Psions!)
10 different enemy units
12 different Psionic Powers and 15 different Upgrades to unlock and use as you play
Unlock and achievements system.
100% Original pixel art.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game has a 33% discount during Early Access compared to the release price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a solo developer, it gets lonely and feedback is scarce, so, I want to include the community who happens to like my idea as much as possible in the creation of this game, any feedback provided will be personally addressed (within what is humanly possible, of course).

About This Game

Gameplay:

Face endless waves of enemies in Survival Mode, earn as much experience as possible and survive for as long as possible! Pick a Psion with a unique passive skill and starting power, unlock Powers and Gear by completing Achievements! Control the movement of the Psion and it will unleash the powers you choose for them in each build, mix different Psions with different Powers and Gear each time you play!


Story:

Join the Psion Rangers in the defense of Earth from the endless waves of Nightmares!

In the future, humanity has harnessed the power of the mind and with the use of the technology known as Psi-Tech, they have unlocked unprecedented ways to manipulate reality. But the prolonged use of this technology has weakened the Psi-Field stability, "Nightmares" creatures born of negative human emotions pour into Earth's surface, it falls to the Psionic Heroes to be humanity's shield, elite combatants with oustanding potential, aided by the power of the Psion Protocol Masks.
