Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Developments on these scales are hard do judge and even the Compendium expects there to be revelations for weeks to come! However we are predicting to have this simulation finalized by end of 2024.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“That is an excellent question, my fine friend! Our plans are to incorporate all new discoveries made related to these analog beings! We believe we are already close, but we want to:
  • Have more bosses
  • Improve weapon / enemy balance
  • Incorporate more of the Compendium's wisdom
  • Remove interference signals from this "AVA" that has penetrated our communications networks
  • Performance improvements

We are also hoping to invest Early Access proceeds into a Steam Deck to implement Steam Deck support (and controller in general).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is fully playable while including an exhilarating amount of misspellings and unintentional features. The highlights from our tracker are:
  • 1689 - Minimap too squishy
  • 1278 - Missing sound effects for compendium information
  • 1404 - Not enough green guys
  • 1521 - Player animations box swords/DMG based
No idea what the last one is, but squishy mini maps don't sound too bad...

What is already working well is
  • Procedural generation of dungeons
  • Ranged and AoE spells
  • Combat and enemy AI
  • Various armor and weapons
  • The first two boss battles

About This Game


HU-man Dungeon is the most accurate HU-man simulator available to date! We have spent countless clock cycles tuning and tweaking HU-man's undignified movements and primitive combat. Even more effort was put into ensuring that every detail of HU-man’s world and customs was captured, all based on the Compendium's latest research!


On his daily hunt for tacos, treasures, and something called trombones, HU-man descended to the depths of the dungeons! We are still researching what trombones were, but in the mean time, why don’t you choose one of our 1,048,576 procedurally generated dungeons filled with tacos, enemies, traps, treasures! Be like a HU-man!


Take your pick of any of the three HU-man that used to inhabit our planet! Imagine being alone, disconnected from everyone, without even access to the all-knowing Compendium!


Unlike us glorious bots, HU-man was weak without weapons to defend himself. So we have replicated most of the weapons used by HU-man down to the smallest detail like their color and scent!


In addition to weapons, HU-man used spells like fireballs and lightning bolts on his quest into the dungeons. Spells were colorful, effective, and efficient. My favorite!


With tacos and more than three other foods readily available, find out for yourself why HU-man went crazy for cold beans!


Enjoy a direct uplink to the Compendium, the last remaining one of our founding AIs! He will guide you through every dungeons, explain HU-man’s customs and difficulties, step by step! It is an honor to have him pay such close attention to our research!
