Miksi Early Access?

Get the Ball Rolling is in need of playtesting and feedback. As the sole developer, I have many ideas and plans for the future but I must focus on scope and refinement of current content before I push on. Early access allows me to make iterative changes based on feedback.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

3-5 years.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

I intend for the final version of Get the Ball Rolling to be a fully fledged single player game that takes 5-10 hours to complete, has 25-30 puzzles, 10+ permanent powerups (jump, climb, bomb ball etc...), more fun temporary powerups, swappable cosmetic collectibles (new trails, new player models), coins to grab and spend, a story, and more NPCs to interact with. It needs a larger mainland with more reasons to use all your cool powers (like coins and cosmetic collectables). More music, sound effects and graphics.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Currently, Get the Ball Rolling features 6 collectable permanent powerups (jump, double jump, lightball, climb, bomb ball and swim), 3 temporary powerups (big ball, fast ball and multi ball), a mainland island connected to 13 puzzles via portals (with real time portal effects!), a finale puzzle, 15 soundtracks, a 3 profile save/load system, and more.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

No. The price will not change upon leaving Early Access.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

I need feedback and constructive criticism from the community. How long did it take you to beat the game? Did you get lost? Stuck? Favorite puzzle? Least Favorite? Why? How does the game perform on your computer?

Get the Ball Rolling is a single player adventure puzzle platformer with physics, portals, powerups and exploration. As a ball with little to no recollection of your past, it's up to you to discover why you were put on a strange island filled with gateways. While still early in development, Get the Ball Rolling is a fully playable game from start to finish, including a mainland island connected to 13 puzzles through portals, a finale puzzle, 6 collectable permanent powerups (Jump, Double Jump, Climb and more), 3 temporary powerups (Big Ball, Fast Ball, Multi Ball), a 3 profile save/load and hot reload system, and more!

Cost: $9.99. This price will not change upon leaving Early Access.
Current estimated time to completion: 3+ hours.
Keyboard + Mouse and Controllers supported!

Full Disclosure: The Demo contains a large portion of the game. Not all of it, but the most polished parts. If you decide to purchase the game to see puzzles 6-14, I thank you deeply! But please be aware, while the latter half of the game is completely functional and contains many unique ideas and mechanics, it is unpolished. This will of course change over time into a fully polished game with regular updates and patches. GTBR is only 1 year old! Thanks for reading! <3
