Belonging is a first-person adventure game about a cult and its victims. As the hacktivist Jayce, you are scouting the abandoned estate of the Entelechism cult. You are there to find data you can leak to the public and uncover uncomfortable truths about what happened to the people that lived there.

Explore the remains of a reclusive community

Entelechism is a community devoted to self-optimization. Its members spend their days pursuing perfection in all aspects of life. A cause that seems innocent or even worthwhile on the surface, reveals its dark sides when manipulative actors take control. What other secrets are the Entelechism leaders hiding?

Inspired by real-life cult survivor stories this game makes sure the player understands how human it is to fall for the narrative cults peddle. The story builds empathy for people we might think are lost or worse irredeemable.

Collect and decide what data should be leaked to the public while unlocking every door inside the cult estate to reveal what suddenly made the cult disappear.

You decide who matters

Jayce is the first one on the scene after the Entelechists have mysteriously vanished. As you scour the secret island estate for pieces of information, you will uncover more and more about the final days before everyone disappeared. Browse video recordings for evidence and vital details on dramatic incidents. You decide what information will be leaked to the public and who will ultimately be responsible for what has transpired inside Entelechism.

EULA

This is a legally binding agreement between the Player and the Company Farbspiel Interactive GmbH & Co. KG seated in Cologne Germany with the Register Number HRA 35560 (deutsches Handelsregister).

1. Scope of the Agreement

This EULA governs the use of the video game "Belonging" (the "Game") by the User. The Game is a computer program that is manufactured and distributed by the Game Developer or Publisher.

2. Using "Belonging"

3.1 The Game Developer or Publisher grants to the User a limited, non-exclusive, personal license to use the Game. The license includes the right to install, use, and reproduce the Game for private, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Seizure Warning. Belonging may contain flashing lights and images, which may induce epileptic seizures. If you or anyone in your household has an epileptic condition, please consult your doctor before playing Belonging. If you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary movement, or convulsions while playing, immediately discontinue use and consult your doctor.

3. Intellectual Property

The intellectual property rights to the Game, including all accompanying content, belong to the Game Developer or are licensed from third parties. The User may therefore not copy, modify, or distribute the Game or any of its content without the consent of the rights holder.

4. Warranty and Liability

The Game Developer or Publisher makes no warranty for the Game. The Game Developer or Publisher is only liable for damages that it causes intentionally or with gross negligence.

5. Dispute Resolution

All disputes between the User and the Game Developer or Publisher will be settled in accordance with the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The jurisdiction of the courts at the seat of the Game Developer or Publisher is agreed. (Cologne, Germany)

6. Amendment of the EULA

The Game Developer or Publisher is entitled to amend this EULA at any time. The amendments will be distributed via any available storepage of the Game. The User has the right to object to the amendment within two weeks of receipt. If the User does not object, the amendment will become effective upon the expiry of the deadline.

7. Updates, Patches and Changes

The game developer or Publisher reserves themselves the rights to update the product, add or remove content, fix bugs or make changes to the game without previously notifying te user. The updates are distributed via the 3rd party marketplaces the game is being sold on. This will result in mandatory and/or automatic updates and older, non-updated versions may become unusable over time.

8. Final Provisions

If any provision of this EULA is invalid or becomes invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In lieu of the invalid provision, a valid provision shall apply that comes closest to the meaning and purpose of the invalid provision.
