Harness the power of your wits and vocabulary to conquer the rich fantasy world of Wordsmith! A word-game based roguelike with a plethora of enemies, biomes, events, items, and more to ensure every playthrough is unique and compelling.

The time wizard who cruelly slayed your relatives, both past and future, has opened a rift in your timeline! Do you have the gumption and vernacular to triumph over him?

COMBAT

• Combat consists of a series of rounds that continue until one party defeats the other.
  
• Each round you are given a grid of letters, from which you must attempt to form the longest word possible within the time given.
  
• Your opponent(s) will form words themselves, and whoever plays the longest word deals damage to their foe.
  
• Enemies each have their own unique health pool, strength, speed(affects clock time), intelligence(tendency to play long words), and special effects.
  
• The letters themselves can receive status effects such as cursed, blessed, frozen, void, and more that change how they behave.
  
• Player stats, enemies, potions, and items make every combat a unique experience.

OVERWORLD

• Each playthrough generates a unique overworld map for you to explore.
  
• There are many different biomes with their own risks and rewards: Forest, Desert, Mountain range, Tundra, Swamp, Lava field, and more!
  
• As you move through the world you will encounter combat, treasure, puzzles, shops, hazardous pits, and kleptomaniacal gnomes.
  
• Find new ways to build your character's combat prowess and collection of useful items in each playthrough.

ADVENTURES AND PUZZLES

• You will be regularly faced with a variety of word puzzles, interesting decisions, and ethical qualms.
  
• Whether you act as an agent of good or evil is entirely up to you, and each has its pros and cons within the game mechanics.
  
• Acting in good faith will tend to increase your bless stat, increasing your chances of receiving blesses letters that benefit you on use.
  
• Acting in bad faith may yield initial rewards, but will likewise increase your curse stat.
  
• Some adventures will lead to side quests which take you elsewhere in the world.
