What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are indie game developers who want early feedback on our product. We also highly value your ideas and welcome new directions the game may take based on this.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 12-18 months, until we reach our desired amount of content and fleshed out features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the game's final version, we plan to have iterated all content, including models, textures, sound effects, music, more scenarios, and perhaps even new features. We also plan to improve the multiplayer experience and improve the localization to more languages.

The current roadmap looks as follows:
- 2024 Q3: Roman campaign update (approx 2 historical scenarios)
- More tutorials for the initial learning scenarios
- UI Update 1
- 2024 Q4: Roman campaign update (approx 2 historical scenarios)
- Faction units update 1
- 2025 Q1: Gallic campaign Launch
- Roman campaign update
- Faction units update 2 & 3
- UI Update 2
- 2025 Q2: Roman campaign update (approx 2 historical scenarios)
- Gallic campaign update (approx 2 historical scenarios)
- Iterum 1.0 launch”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can play the game in single player mode for hours on end, including scenarios, random skirmishes and custom maps. There is also a multiplayer mode in place, but not all aspects of that experience are fleshed out yet. Currently localized to English and Swedish, with a partial French translation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricing of the game may be adjusted along the way as we see the content and experience improve. It could be increased slightly as we see the quality go up, but could also decrease slightly to encourage more players to give the game a try. If you are unsure if you want to buy the game, we recommend you to join our Discord and try out the slightly more unstable alpha builds that should also give you a hint as to the state and direction the game is taking.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We welcome any and all feedback! We will keep an eye out in the Steam forums for feedback, and invite you to join our Discord server and give us direct feedback as well!”

About This Game

Embark on a journey through time and strategy in Iterum, the real-time strategy game where your decisions shape the destiny of civilizations. Challenge yourself to master the delicate balance of food production, happiness, and taxation to forge a thriving society.

Secure your people’s future by constructing essential improvements like the Granary, Hunter’s Cottage, Mill, and Docks. Each decision impacts your settlement’s growth, from the rationing of food to the levying of taxes—choices that will determine the happiness and expansion of your population.

Dive into the rich layers of gameplay with prospection, mining, and metal smelting. Utilize these resources wisely to bolster happiness, increase wealth, and upgrade your military might.

With a diverse array of metals at your disposal, strategic resource management becomes the key to advancing your civilization’s technology and power.

In Iterum, diplomacy and warfare go hand in hand.
Command an array of military units—infantry, archers, cavalry, and siege engines—to defend your lands or expand your empire.
Form formidable armies, engage in tactical battles, lay siege to enemy settlements, or occupy strategic territories to weaken your foes before striking.

But the saga of Rome is not just written in the ink of diplomats or the blood of soldiers; it is also etched by the changing of seasons and the realism of survival.

Manage your armies’ rations to keep them fed on long campaigns, establish supply posts to sustain them through the harsh winters, and fortify zones to repel invasions. The elements themselves become adversaries, as winter’s chill can sap the strength of the unprepared, making the establishment of supply lines not just a matter of logistics, but of survival.

Incorporate sanitation into your strategy to prevent disease from decimating your populace.

Construct Wells, Bathhouses, and Apothecaries to ensure the health and morale of your citizens, for a healthy city is a strong city.

In Iterum, every element of governance is a thread in the tapestry of your legacy—will yours be a tale of triumph over adversity, or a cautionary story of neglect? The choice is yours. Forge your destiny and let the echoes of your triumphs resound through time.
