Welcome, brave adventurers, to the world of AEGIS Kingdoms! A project built on love, passion, and a vision to recreate the charm of private servers and intimate gaming communities.

This is not just another game, instead it is a personal project focused on creating a sanctuary where you can let your imagination run wild and weave tales of wonder and bravery. A cosy world where you can reminisce of sunset games and fond memories you have, whether from your childhood or a simpler time when games meant becoming part of online communities.

As a developer, the joy of creating a lively community where everyone can participate in this wonderful fantasy world is what truly matters to me. It's a fun little indie game, designed to be your "home game". (At least, it will be my home game!)

I want to make this abundantly clear: AEGIS Kingdoms will NEVER be a commercial game focusing on numbers, sales figures or hell bent on shoving a product down your throat. AEGIS Kingdoms is more akin to a cosy gathering place, a fireside where like-minded individuals can meet, interact, and delve into an indie multiplayer adventure.

So as you embark on your journey through the realm, you'll not only interact with my team and me, but also with a friendly, tight-knit community of players from various walks of life. We're all here to explore and enjoy this virtual world together and that’s what AEGIS Kingdoms is about.

If you find yourself smitten by the world of AEGIS Kingdoms and wish to support the game, helping its ongoing development, we've set up a completely optional premium membership system. Subscribing to this offers a few extra perks as a thank you, but rest assured, the game does not penalise you for not having a premium membership. This is simply for those who believe in the game and want to help it thrive. As a thank you, there will be premium-only locations, items and rewards.

LATEST INFORMATION:

AEGIS Kingdoms is in an exciting phase of development where we're holding "Open Weekends." These are unique opportunities where you can access the game server over the weekend to play and help us shape the game. Your valuable feedback and insights during these sessions are vital for our development process.

We'll announce all the upcoming "Open Weekends" on our Discord channel. But, if you're not a Discord user, worry not! Just hit the green register button on the store page, and you'll receive a notification via email from Steam when the tests begin.

We welcome you to join our Discord server as well. You'll find the link in the appropriate location. This is an excellent way to engage with other players, discuss strategies, share your experiences, and contribute to the community that is starting to grow around AEGIS Kingdoms.


STORY PREMISE:

The adventure of AEGIS Kingdoms begins as you venture to the alluring continent of Ophelia. This is a realm of untamed wilderness, ancient secrets, and endless possibilities. As you explore, you'll undertake challenging commissions, cultivate crops, nurture animals, and delve into shadowy dungeons.

The Grand Empire, having lifted its military restrictions, is now encouraging citizens to settle in Ophelia. Those who dare to embark on this new life will find themselves in New Camelot, the pioneer settlement in these foreign lands. There, they'll encounter various factions eager to provide support and offer opportunities for work to newcomers. Each faction brings its own unique flavour to the experience, ensuring there's always a fresh challenge waiting for you.

The Relic Hunters:

As a Relic Hunter, you'll be on the frontline of discovery, delving into ancient ruins and uncovering relics from the past to aid New Camelot and the Grand Empire's prosperity. But beware, these places often harbour hidden dangers.

The Adventurer's Guild:

If you're an explorer at heart, then the Adventurer's Guild needs you! Set foot where no one has before, plant your flag atop Ophelia's tallest peaks, and fill in the blank spots on the map of this new continent.

The Mercenary Legion:

While New Camelot is a beacon of safety, the lands beyond its walls are teeming with unknown perils. As a member of the Mercenary Legion, you'll be paid handsomely for your bravery. Whether it's hacking and slashing through hostile creatures or ensuring the safety of wandering travellers, your sword will be the shield against the chaos of the wilderness.

The Engineer's Society:

For the thinkers, inventors, and curious minds, the Engineer's Society offers a realm of endless possibilities. You will analyse the unique flora and fauna, build intriguing contraptions, and unravel the scientific wonders of Ophelia. Your inventions will fuel the growth and prosperity of New Camelot.

The Settler's Union:

Finally, the Settler's Union welcomes all builders and craftsmen willing to shape the heart of our civilization. You'll gather resources, craft essential items, learn to farm, and rear animals. Your skills will greatly contribute to the flourishing society of New Camelot.

You can choose to join any faction, embark on story-based quests called "Adventures," or just enjoy the beauty of Ophelia.
